For those of you who are managing to get rooms booked for nearby hotels, can you please PM me and tell me how you're accomplishing this (If you don't want to post for the general public to see)?

Now depending on the programming and giveaways that usually go on in the mornings, I may or may not be in line with you all. Last time I was usually one of the first 10 in line, but that required me to be there at about 3 and 4 in the morning.

If anyone else has some ideas of where I can book to be close to con, please pm me. I've never been and I don't like putting things off. But I don't really know the area or where I should be looking, so some help would be wonderful.

Best area to be in (in my opinion) is the Gas Lamp District. Walking distance to the convention center plus that is where all the great restaurants/bars are and where most freaks hang out afterwards.

A good 80% of the hotels have the dates blocked off right now. They open em up when the comic-con site allows booking.

Prepare for another fustercluck when that happens. :slap

Fixed. :lol

I will not be passing out. I'm looking forward to an amazing time catching up with my CV buddies (who could not see me when they were in Vegas, cough cough :lol) and meeting lots of other freaks. Putting faces and maybe even real names to the screen names.

Superman is a long shot considering casting hasn't been completed but there will probably be conceptuals if not a smaller panel. TDKR might have a teaser created just for it but again isn't principal photography occuring in March? It might be cutting it close. Spider-Man and The Avengers will most likely have a huge showing though.

Trust me, Zack's Superman will have a presence at SDCC.

Basically u can find a hotel room right now for about $425-$700 bucks a night....

If u can't afford it..then wait for the cluster ____ of CCI!

The Hilton Gaslamp is directly across the street. The Hilton San Diego Bayfront is next to it (Hall H side), the Marriott is on the opposite side of the convention center (it is also where a lot of the big names stay). Personally I liked the side by Hall H. It didn't seem as crowded getting to and from the hotel. The only negative I can think about with the gaslamp side is having to wait for lights and trains then crossing with hundreds of other people at the same time.

Yeah, but almost every year one of the masses gets at least nicked by one of the cars. And a few years ago, one guy died as a result. Be careful freaks, and never run in front of the damn trolley. I have a friend who lives in San Diego, and while he was admittedly very drunk at the time, he was run down by the trolly and lost a lot of the back of both of his calves. Scary scary scary. Stay out of the way of the trolleys.
