I am so relieved!

I contacted Con management to get the skinny on waiting in line every day for a single day's pass.

It's not so bad. We will be able to pick up the next day's badges starting the afternoon before in the Sails Pavillion. I can live with that. :D

Here's the email:

So where is the Sails Pavillion? Near the SDCC Convention Centre?

Well, you just need a CP filter to kill reflection on glass. And don't use a damned flash.

And I'm sorry, but the SGs deserve DSLR camera goodness. :naughty :naughty :monkey5 :monkey5

But I will have my point and shoot as well.
You still have to deal with all the fingerprints etc.. But if your willing to risk your DSLR there be my guest just pointing out some of the pitfalls of it.

Sweet!! Thanks for the update Sam!! You :rock2

Well, for everyone having to stand inline on Thursday morning for their first days pass, I'll be there with you.

I was thinking about getting in that line at 3am or 4am, as I don't want to standing in line for hours just waiting to get in.

What time do you recommend going to the convention center?

Last year my flight got in around Noon. I guess I got to the convention center around 1-2 o'clock on Wednesday. I had no problem whatsoever getting my badge. I don't even recall there being much of a line. Don't know how it was later in the afternoon. It will probably take me longer this year as my flight doesn't get in til around 4.

I get in at 10:30. Time to stop and have a few then get in line. :chug
