Yeah, a lot of memories there. I used to look at these all the time. Especially for the G1 Transformers.

I remember taking those catalogues to bed (the 1984 one specifically) and looking at the He-Man pictures until well after bed time.... Thanks for posting that. Very cool.

Great thread! I remember Sears would mail those catalogs out pretty early, like September or October. I'd race home after school each day, hoping that I'd find the Wish Book in the mailbox. The disappointment I'd feel when it wasn't in there and then the sheer joy on the day that it was there. I'd stare at that thing everyday for hours right up until Christmas Eve. :monkey5
Great memories....

Captain Power!!

Look at that G.I.Joe Shuttle set. There used to be some really huge playset and vehicles, especially for G.I.Joe.

Yeah! That shuttle set is insanely huge!

yeah me too.....oh how i marveled at the Cobra command station....which Santa never brought. :( but i received a lot of toys so no worries...... :emperor

I don't really remember much about the toys I got as a kid. Remember I wanted a Cabbage Patch doll ...I didn't get one. Instead my mom made me a crappy Raggedy Ann doll. :lol

My brother was into SW and he got all kinds of stuff. My mom got him every figure that was out......too bad he didn't hold onto them.

Wow, this takes me back. I had my 12" Lone Ranger stolen, get to relive those days. General Lee, GI Joe Sea Wolf,....Oh to be a kid again. :monkey2

Lets see...
From the '71 catalog I had Johnny West and Thunderbolt (Well actually they were more likely my brother's toys since I would have been 3 1/2), the GI Joe undersea set with the octopus,
'75 though I had Big Jim, The fighting furies with the vinyl covered cardboard ship, the GI Joe sea wolf with the squid (Had a great time in the swimming pool with it), a bunch of the mego figures including star trek and the enterprise playset. Six million dollar man, and the planet of the apes figures, but no mountain playset. Lone Ranger and I still have Silver in the basement with a broken foot.
'79 I had the micronauts, definitely one of my favorite toys. I always wanted that tube set up but never got it. Of course the SW figures, but no ships.
And by '81 I was too old for toys which lasted until I was 32.

Wow, some of my best Christmas and birthday presents as a kid came from the Sear catalog. Among some of the pictured toys on the website, I also had the 8" Mork figure from the TV show, the Star Wars Bespin Uganaut playset and the Tauntaun w/Luke figure.

I remember that it seemed like it took forever between the time the toys were ordered and when they arrived at our local store for pick up.
