Welcome to the very first truely **** generation of people.

You know how forever people were like this new generation sucks. For the first time ever it really is true.

This generation grew up on the internet and has no social interaction skills. They don't know how to deal with or talk to real people so they have no connection to them or feeling for them. They don't care about anyone but themselves and see everything in life as a contest to outdo everyone else who shows off on social media. Music has no meaning anymore at all, even the rap people hated in the 90s told a story. Now acceptable lyrics are "*** and *******, *** and *******" for 4 minutes straight. Movies are remakes of everything with way less heart and soul. You get famous by being simply being naked in public or doing a porn and than we put that person on television and envy their life of arguing over whos cell phone or fake **** are better. Idiocracy is coming true and it isn't funny.

Farcebook and any site of the like need to be banned completely.

We need to get society back on track.................. get kids off these stupid technological devices and out into the real world, they have no attention span, they have no desire to see whats happening outside their front door, they have no social (non-virtual) skills, no street smarts, no communication skills unless its LOL, LOLZ, ROFL and all that rubbish, they are lazy both physically and virtually in writing for abbreviating every single word.

Whenever I drive past my local skate park, or walk along the beach, or take my kids to a playground, what do I see... wall to wall kids having fun.

One Indian chick in a billion tops herself for likely a whole raft of reasons, her facebook ban being the tipping point, and somehow this is a reflection of the evils of social media, gaming etc.

Why Ban facebook?

Why ban a website that is used for millions of people to stay in contact with relatives and friends all over the world?

How about parents stop doing such a crap job at raising their kids? ever think of that?

Vaild points, and i agree, possibly its a parenting problem in some cases, BUT also how do you class 'good parenting'?

- Allowing your child access to facebook just to get them out of your hair?

- Allowing them to logon for only a certain time limit per day? (then how do you control their addiction and exposure to the content of bullying, constant need for acceptance, constant obsession for people liking their posts and commenting on their photos? How do you control what they feel? Can good parenting stop that?

- Do you restrict them until a certain age? (obviously not, all their friends do it and they are not allowed? they would be cast out and made fun of anyway)

Maybe facebook should restrict users up to the age of 16, 18 or 21, like cigarettes and alchohol as you suggest? Would that happen? of course it wouldnt, theyd be losing millions of users and their target audience.

So what is a solution? Stop it at the source? Thats my reasoning.

Basically, how bad would a world be without facebook?
Can you not call friends/relatives on the phone?
Can you not email each other photos?

Whats this constant obsession people have with checking where people are, what their eating, where they are checking into, what mall they are at, how many likes they have of their lame selfie photos, how many likes they have about their last post, why people havent commented or liked their posts/photos.

And what about all the stories of parties being posted on facebook by losers resulting in gatecrashing, trashing peoples houses out of control parties, noise disturbances etc etc.... the list goes on.

Facebook is more trouble than its worth.

I will never support it and will always argue the point of its uselessness.

All it is, is just a constant need of attention and acceptance for insecurity for the majority of users.

Why are We posting in here? wouldn't it be easier to call each other and talk? wouldn't it be easier to email each other pics of toys?

Either you take care of your kid or you don't. Why do kids need tablets? Why not BAN tablets and Iphones? Why blame facebook.

Facebook is NOWHERE as bad as all the chatrooms and porn sites that kids have access to. If anything Facebook is pretty tame compared to some of the other crap that's out there. Sites I wouldn't even go to not even once, like 4chan.... now that's a scary place...

I am not even trying to defend facebook. I couldn't care if they closed.
I use my facebook responsibly and I don't care what people do all day. I use it to post on groups and to see Bands,magazines, my Local News, I follow some famous people, etc. I've made new friends because of facebook, Like really, Why do people that don't use facebook think is all about checking where people are, what their eating, where they are checking into, what mall they are at, how many likes they have of their lame selfie photos???

what bothers me is blaming a website people use to communicate because parents cannot say no to their little demon spawns.... Why do they need an Iphone when they are 10? why do they need all these gadgets?
