...so you're saying that if one of her breasts were exposed, than you'd have bought her?

Um, wow.

I'm saying the released version looks a tad tame and that the SilentSurfer's version looks worth picking up. It's shocking and beautiful and bold.

Besides, so many small minded prudes in America would probably be offended by such a bold choice that I would want to pick her up to support the right of artistic expression.

Not as bad as most Predators but for a girl like me, a pain in the ass.

The feet were really, really hard.

I had to use a tool to stuff in the hole of the feet to stretch them out so I could get the feet on.

I didn't have any string and you need string to put the daggers and sword on the back on. I had to use fishing wire that is too thick.

There are springs that you are suppose to use to somehow tie the upper arm plate and bra thing together but don't ask me how, the springs never came out of the bag. I didn't even try to figure it out.

The stand won't stay in the base of mine which is a pain.

Love her to bits though.

All of what was said has just made me not want this figure, but I am glad you like it.

It's a chick, dressed as a Predator, based off of two characters, the one it's mainly based on... never had one-sided armor.

I'm sure, if that fan art pic didn't surface with her only having chest armor on one side, no one (or hardly anyone) would have thought about doing this at all. I'm not offended (a little weirded out, to be honest), it just looks ridiculous and really, other than to see a ****ie, serves no purpose. If the sculpts aren't artsy enough for you to be impressed with, I'm sorry.

Fremen. It sounds like this is your first Hot Toys Pred figure.:lol

There are little tricks that come with experience with these damn things. There was little black threads in the bag with the strings you are supposed to use to tie the blue thingies to her armor. As for the sword, that was a pain in the ass no doubt. I fount the eaasiest way to get the sword in place was to use an x-acto knife to pry apart the loop at the top of the chains while being very careful not to drop them in the carpet. With the chains off it is easier to turn the connector loops onto the chains. Then reattach the top loops to the belt loops and GENTLY pinch them closed with small pliers. This is much easier than doing it with the chains still on her, but it's still a pain in the ass.

In my own defense: This woman is an ice-queen bee-otch who's family honor was destroyed by her father. She is a loner who started running with a clan of Predators after surviving some major crap. And Predators prefer it very hot (despite Paul Andersons trip down nonsense lane; the Predator movies and the books always talk about the heat). This woman isn't concerned about modesty. She isn't afraid that she will be hit on by some horny Predators; their friggin' aliens. And she is human and more sensitive to high temperatures. With no other humans around, she is basically living like a cave woman or an amazon. My interpretation of Machiko makes total sense given her circumstances and traditional Predator attire.

Beisdes, you know you like it.:rock

Except acid blood on the teet would hurt like a beeotch.

Cool custom.
I really think it needs the black rubber collar though.
IMO, it'll add some definition to her neck because something seems to be missing. My 2c.

True that about the alien blood, and full armor does make much more sense for going bug hunting, but Predators hunt more than just Aliens as is evident at the end of Predator 2.

This is my Machiko set to go hive hunting.

See more of both in my new thread to be posted soon (like in an hour).

It is something I found on eBay. Do a search for "(Ignite, Crazy Owners) Ninja Sword" and you'll find it. They also have a short sidearm sword and a dagger for that set which I got, but decided was overkill for this piece.

BTW. I have the Argonuats model. It's not painted, but it's up for grabs and I can paint it for you. I have both head options for it too. Original vinyl cast, some customization in progress.

Apology accepted! :D

A great thread this is!! I hope my Machiko arrives this week. you guys make me want to assemble her as soon as I get her, and I cannot, since no place to display her until I move to the new house in 2009. What to do, what to do? :duh :monkey3

When you do get her unpacked, you'll LOVE HER.

It's nice too, that she comes almost fully assembled. The entire figure is just breathtaking in person!

Threads. They have 5 select ****ies, if the thread meets ****tastic, it gets a 4. If it meets super **** tastic......5!

I was wondering if you really had to supply your own strings. I figured HT would have everything covered

I didn't see any strings. There was two springy things in the bag though that I didn't bother with. Was the string wrapped around that?

I couldn't pry open the chains in the back. I don't have the correct tools and they're just too small.

This is my second Hot toys so yes, I'm still new and don't know all of the tricks.
I have 3 more predators to put together so I'll use the blow dryer hot water trick and this will save me a lot of stress I'm sure.

I have to wait until I'm calm and have hours to kill before I try another one.

There were strings in the bag, I used mine.

---The springs were to attach to the armor, from the chest to the shoulder. On the springs there are small black peg things that plug right into those four little holes in the armor.
