She Predator - Machiko pics

Well, I took a gamble on being right about the skin tone being in the palstic, and it appears I may be right. I was able to remove the cheek mark with a bit of nail polish remover applied with a very fine brush followed by the lightest of scraping with an x-acto knife. Then I put Machiko's "Blooding" mark where Dachande, "Broken Tusk", put it in the books/comics. Check it out.

Yes, I did think about which version to use, lightning bolt comic version or slanted "T" like the movie, but I chose to copy the mark that was ingraved into the figure's helmet which she now carries hanging from her katana on her back.

It just made the most sense. Ideally, the mark on her helmet would have been copied from the mark on her forehead, so I made it so retroactively. It wasn't a bad looking mark, slightly different than what's been seen before, and it was easier than changing the mark on the helmet.

I know it isn't noticeable in the pics, but I actually built up the mark with layers of matching flesh tone paint before reddening it so that it actually looks like a slightly raised welted scar when you see it in person. Looks crazy.

Me too. Haven't looked at her since I opened and posed her. I guess it's not very noticeable. But yea lightning bolt on forehead is a bit Harry Potter. And to matching the mark with her helmet is important.

Hairdryer is your friend when it comes to tight Hot toys AVP parts.

The chains on her belt for the sheath were a major pain to do anything with. I originally used them to hang one of the leg knives the AVPs had, but decided to go without butt swords on either of my Machikos. That big friggin' sword looks ridiculously over fantasy to me anyway. I went with character authentic swords instead. Machiko came from Japanese heritage and was trained in martial art. Check it:

Man! These customs look GREAT! Love the forehead mark and the bared right breast, Surfer. Amazing work there! Cool colors too. Love the feet a lot.

Hate to say it, but I'm nearly 100% sure that's gonna be a recast.

I've never, ever seen an original on ebay, and I'm sure one, even unpainted would run $200+.

That is one of the kits I had before, and it too was a recast, and it was pretty badly cast. Not a great kit.

I'm a little late to the party, but I just got the She Predator yesterday. I got her for a good price and I think she looks great with the rest of the "clan".

In case you really don't know, the Machiko body is the Hot Angels body also used for the ERT, and the one in that photo is the same body. The armor and lighting just make her look a little more ****aliscious.

The nipples don't come painted. I had to perve those out myself.
