But I still think Sideshow should make an official statement about this in the same way they made announcements regarding changes in UPS/FedEx policies. I'd like to see a blanket statement that explains exactly how QuantumView works because many of us don't really understand it (obviously).

It just so happens that Darth Sidious' shipment had many of us baffled.

So actually, yeah, it would be Sidious specifically that needs to be addressed specifically (we're still getting conflicting dates...the 20th, after SDCC, etc.) but also a larger, generalized context should be included as if to say "Hey, Sidious isn't shipping until XX. NAs got the QuantumView notice early because XX. This is why..."

That way, the confusion surrounding Sidious is cleared up, and we also know what to expect should this happen again.

It's really no different than getting one on a Tuesday that says you'll have it on Friday. Then on Wednesday its update that you'll have it the following Monday.

I don't see this as being a big enough deal to warrant any kind of a statement.

I'll rephrase then. It doesn't need some big press release. That would be overkill and actually pretty ridiculous. Just a blurb on the main page or drop a quick post in here. Just something to give a definitive answer since apparently there is contradictory statements (again...the 7/20 date vs. the post earlier that mentioned post-SDCC).

In that case, it's not the same as a bump from Friday to a Monday. This is nearly a week and a half bump.


Besides, doesn't Sideshow have the best customer service around? Surely this wouldn't be anything above and beyond for THEM...

I've gotten Quantums for both Sidious and Subject 560 and neither has moved since. But Leia is already here. My guess is to save time they notified UPS early, but UPS used the notification date as when it would actually ship out instead of treating it as when the info was received.

No biggie, I'll just be waiting a little longer.

i'm not mad about anything nor am i losing sleep over it but I didn't buy something from UPS, I bought it from SS and SS knows how UPS' system works and if I receive a shipping notice with a certain date of delivery I should be informed that it is in error, bottom-line. Just put a paragraph on your website letting us know what's up and that will suffice, confusion squashed. I bet they put a blurb in the newsletter about it....of course they could just be way ahead on sending the data to UPS than they are with dropping off or UPS picking up the product. maybe they aren't holding them back.

Look at us, Dusty doesn't visit the forum in a few days or so and we all fall apart!!!!

EDIT: it was actually a prize I won that shipped so not Subject 560 for me till next week. I guess they are holding these.

Well, I got on to check my email this morning and my order update email and ship notice email had come in, so it looks like today, 7/20 should be the ship date for NAs, so I should have mine like 7/26.

Got my notice from SSC as well. Quantum is telling me the 27th, but judging by how far the package has gone I think it might be sooner. So some of you Cali guys should have him by Monday, or HOPEFULLY today!!!
