Are you SURE that's your grail Cap???? I mean, there are a lot of them out there.... :D

Am I sure?

Am I SURE?!?!?!?

This is the single most wanted toy I have ever desired! I've wanted a figure of Faramir in this scale since before the movies came out! This is the grand culmination of my entire history of collecting! Am I sure? Am I SURE?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Why, yes, I am.

Uh oh. Don't get me started!

In a very brief statement which will never do justice to Faramir, he has always been my fictional hero. He's strong, brave, a mighty leader but a loving captain, and his sense of honor and virtue is stronger than his desire for power, as his rejection of the ring (in the book) shows. He is never appreciated but serves with total loyalty anyway, and despite his father's scorn he fulfils his duties out of real love. He's perceptive, wise, and noble--he's a warrior who doesn't seek war, and a leader who seeks not power. For me he embodies everything good--plus he's got the coolest outfit ever, and he just looks cool--the makeup and costume they made for David Wenham is my favorite look in all the movies. He's learned, gentle, strong, cunning, virtuous . . .

Shall I go on? :D

Ok, I give up...
Those are the two Lenticular posters for The Nightmare Before Christmas. They have to be backlit in order to see the effect.

I'm still trying to get my grail right now...

hint: not plastic, polystone, PVC, resin, metal, fabric or anything that crude.

I dont have to much time with this figure but i really love it more than my SSW LOTR, my hellboy with guillermo del toro autograph:

Ah! I really need to see one of these in person one day...

My grail is being protected by my PF Hulk . . .

hulksolarpenguinhs3.jpg

It is a Solar penguin statue . . . there were only 30 of them made . . .They were sculpted by Sean Chen for Valiant Fans over at the valiantfans.com site . .

I guess this is actually a “group grail” as he also sculpted the Solar statue and the other 2 penguins here . . .

I was lucky enough to get the other sculpts (also limited to about 30 pieces) but the Solar was incredibly difficult . . . no one wants to sell theirs . . . .

(this probably only means something to Valiant fans . . . so I included the Hulk PF for non-Valiant fans . . .:) )

Well, here's my "holy grail"! It sounds kinda ironic that my "holy grail" is my custom Indiana Jones. After years and years of wanting the Kenner Indiana Jones 12" figure, I'm very happy having my own custom one that I made. But I cannot take total credit for it all! I got lots of help from a great customzer and friend on eBay, Mary Lacour. She is eBay seller "mpl59". She hand-made Indy's gear. She made his belt, holster, pistol, whip (made from real leather and it actually does "crack"), gas mask shoulder bag, and all of his artifacts. The golden idol and sandbag from Raiders, the three Sankara stones from Temple Of Doom, and the holy grail cup from The Last Crusade. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. She made Indy's fedora hat, and painted it with that nice "worn out" look. I got a custom head from Lonnie Hale aka eBay seller "tk570" and painted it myself. I got Indy's jacket, pants and boots from an existing G.I. Joe Tuskeegee Airman 12" figure. Yeah, the jacket isn't totally movie accurate, but I'll get a better one someday. I have since taken the snap buttons off of the jacket to try and make it look more accurate to the one Indy wore. But, I realize that Indy's jacket didn't have the elastic waistband or elastic cuffs on the sleeves. I may get the "Relic Hunter" jacket I see on eBay all the time. Check out the pictures and let me know what you think! I'm very proud of it! It truly is the "crown jewel" or "holy grail" of my entire toy collection!

I will buy a 12" Indy if Hot Toys or Sidesohow or Medicom finally makes one, but I'll always love my custom Indy!
