The MR Enteprise looks like it could be a grail piece:

Darth Waller, The MR Enteprise, no doubt will be a grail piece! Did you order one?

I have a similar piece in the Sci-Fi world that is being custom made. A 1:26 scale J2 with scale figures, full upper deck, wireless controlled internal/external lighting electronics. Currently the project is 85% complete with a schedule delivery at the end of the first quarter of '2007!

I still need to order it. I've got my MR Collector's Society coupon to use that'll save $100 which will bring it down to dealer pricing.

That J2 sounds awesome. Make sure you post pictures when you get it. :D

Holy Grails can be created too - and this would probably be mine as well as my favorite piece in my collection.

Ditto on that

1 of the 20 is mine, and in Istanbul now. I am so happy to have this piece :rock

If there is one statue that I would like to keep until the day I die, it is this one

PS: I know I need to play some with the cape and the costume :)

Thanks for the full images! Yeah - I don't think I can get one of these guys unless I shell out the big bucks.

Such an awesome figure.

Crap forgot it was the 20th and not the 8th corrected it now.

I have this figure as well. I was able to snag 3 sets back in August 20 of 2000. At it's peak Kaneda has sold for pretty much 2K USD I'm not sure what it would go for now as I haven't seen one for sale in years. Many of the older grail pcs of Medicom (Shocker Rider #1, Terry Eaton, Pink Devilman, etc) have dropped significantly in value tho. As Kaneda will probably never be produced again judging from the relationship of Otomo and Medicom from where I left left off those yrs back this figure will proably not fall in value as it's other "Grail" brothers. The Soldiers "Kou" and "Otsu" each limited to 150 pcs dont go for as much. I've seen them sell for as low as $250 USD a couple of yrs back. I only have 1 set now since I sold the other 2 sets yrs back but dont have the heart to open them because of how rare they are as the packaging is not collector friendly :(

Tendou-Kabuto, Actually the Medicom Kaneda sold for more than three times (x3) your stated price at Sotheby's Auction House, NYC at a very special and private international auction. The private auction involved $6.5 to $8 figure incomed individuals. I personally attended and it was an amazing two day event!

You're serious? That is insane. I really regret selling my other 2 sets now. I would have love to get 6K ea for my Kanedas. Hell' I'd give them the whole set for 6K.

my "grail" is pretty simple...it's the Darth Vader PF. i was awestruck the first time I saw it in a display case in a local collectibles store. i've been obsessed with picking it up ever since. as soon as i get close to making the purchase, something else happens (bills, car repairs, etc). someday.

Finally completed my helm set:...

Congrats! :rock

Thanks to Dusty giving away the King Elessar Crowns, I'm going to have to start collecting the helms again and re-completing the set.

here's my holy grail as of today! Still cant believe I have this one.

I don't know if I have one item that towers above the others. Most of my Grails are things I've wanted in different stages of my life and had to wait/hunt for.

I've done pretty well with getting them...(eventually!)

Growing up, till about my mid twenties, my Holy Grails were these:

WELCOME-POSTER-ATTACK.gif

The Mego/Denys Fisher Doctor Who line, which I finally got thanks to the creation of E-Bay! I never though I'd have them.

Sideshow has really satiated a lot of wants with Buffy and 007, and now the Dead. Patient Zero was this years Holy Grail, and I made a pretty decent Kolchak custom I always wanted to go along with my Sideshow stuff that I'm pretty happy with (I'm a bastard to please when I make things myself, so It's a surprise I could make one I was happy with!)

I guess my next holy grail, (yet to be made, though I am optamistically hopeful), is a 1/6th Tall Man from Phantasm. Boyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
