Oh, man. Be careful - I may jack you for that Kaneda. Is that the Medicom convention only figure?

hey Kamen, i've seen that custom online. it's by a guy here in Ohio i believe, built on a Medicom Massive RAH. i contacted him and he's not doing anymore:monkey2

Is it just me, or do the eyes on that Spidey custom look wonky ? The pic makes them appear mis-matched.

I see. That's a commission project that I initiated with him about 2 years back. It is build on Medicom RAH body with completely new sculpted muscle and casted in rubber I believe, so it is a bit...soft..:lol

Maybe it matches very slightly not that well and the picture magnifies it, but the eye frames looks fine and unnoticeable in person.

tinister,
Indeed this is the Medicom '2000 Tokyo convention figure. Only 300 were made and sold for one day.

I've seen pictures of the poster on eBay in the past. Nothing to exciting, but oneday I really hope to have that Alien. Its not a holy grail for me... but its at least sanctified :monkey3

Unofficially my "first holy grail". I had to trade many Transformers for it, but it was worth it. I wonder if that comic shop is still there in Cuyahoga Falls? Anyone here from that area? What was it called...Rick's or Ray's?

congerking, that's an excellent item. Who made this piece of art?

I have NO idea, but it's so glorious I can't describe it with words. Check out the star wars section, it should be in there. From what I heard, it's more than $1,000.

That's awesome. I'm a HUGE Akira fan. I have all of the gashapon figures and some of the McFarlane ones.

The Medicom one has been on my radar for years. Only saw one for sale a couple years ago - and it was pricey.

Were you at the convention? And did you get the other two limited Akira figures that they were selling?

Tinister, No I personally didn't attend the convention. Because during that time I was launching my new business. I hired an agent in Tokyo to handle that affair in my behalf. No unfortunately we were unsuccessful in obtainging the other two figures.

As far as the current value of the Kaneda figure today, it's in the very high, four figure ($) range!

Thanks for the full images! Yeah - I don't think I can get one of these guys unless I shell out the big bucks.

Such an awesome figure.

He looks like a mad 9 year old.

I've got that bigfoot figure, it is awesome! One of the most amazing things in my collection... truly breathtaking... a once in a lifetime experience... better than divine intervention...

I don't have a Holy Grail which is good. The moment I get one I might as well stop collecting.
