I bought Bly, Boil and Waxer yesterday, so my army is slowly starting to take shape...

They were a nightmare to pose, since all the joints were quite loose. But at least they survived a 35" drop.

Oh, and I realised I have a 12" Sandtrooper and Battle Droid too, somewhere. But compared to the Sideshow trooper, that Sandtrooper is quite ugly. The battledroid is OK, though.

I agree...they may not look as bad ass as the phase 2 helmets but there is something about them that is strangely appealing to me. But honestly i am not a big fan of Rex i think he would look way better with a phase II helmet instead of a phase 1.

Finally finished my Sandtrooper Squad. Picked up the latest SS Sandtrooper to add to the ranks. Ended up swapping out the armor of the previous Sandtroopers with the newer version; liked that weathering so much better. Although, I did change up the weathering a bit to give the troops a little more variety. I also got rid of that HIDEOUS SS bucket and used some spare Marmit helmets instead

I really dislike the SSC stormie sculpt - they're just wrong, from head to toe. I'm so glad I got rid of the Sandie corporal I had - I had it standing on my desk at home, & whenever I looked at it.. I just shook my head.

The chap who posted pics earlier, that put the Marmit helmets on the Medicom body - really tapped into something magical.

The armour is a little less telling to me except the cod piece, I could live with the stormies with those marmit lids, I kept mine and added some shading/weathering to the helms which helps

The 2 big striking problems with the SS Stormie/Sandie figures are the helmets (big jaw part, large mic tips, Asian eyes on Stormies) and the small cod piece. The rest of the armor is ok, in some parts better than all other figures from other companies.

I know it's not perfect, but to me, its the best I can do to have my Sandies in my collection. Not much else can be done so I make the best of it.

The SSC Phase 1 clones are really nice figures.. shame about the vinyl under suits though. I sold mine because of that - I didn't want to go through the headache of trying to get a replacement & then transplanting one onto the body after breaking the armour off.

Anyway, I have the excellent Phase 1 Commander now, so it's all good.

Hey, so this is my collection so far, I only started in December. As you may be able to tell I really like Phase II clones. also, Gree and the 442 are on their way(from separate sources).
