I got to ask! I like the HT figures a lot more without the stands, and decided to finally take 'em away!

^We're both from Gothenburg :).

I know, that's why I posted the pic! :rock

I met In Flames once and got Jespers guitar pick. They are really nice guys!
Hehe, and if me and my girlfriend will get married, my name could be Jesper Stromblad :p (thats her last name)! haha

Nice! I saw In Flames here in the States a while back for the Sense of Purpose tour.

IN FLAMES WE TRUST! :devil

Good stuff there. However, MESHUGGAH is really a totally different category. Also, didn't know they were Swedish. :)

In Flames is still number 1 for me :rock
Seen them 5 or 6 times now

I love Soilwork, Dark Tranquility, Arch Enemy, Opeth and Katatonia too :D

Yep. In Flames is still #1 for me as well.

Love all the bands you mention (with the possible exception of Katatonia who I've never listened to - and am off to check out now).

But In Flames have totally sold out them selves! Posing on stupid things just to make more money! And the last 2 albums - worthless :S!

Never understood this reasoning. If you don't like their latest work that doesn't mean it's worthless. And it definitely doesn't mean they sold out. Watch the making of A Sense of Purpose DVD. It's obvious that they are making the music they want to make. Also, when I saw them live I could see the new material make their eyes light up in a way that the old stuff didn't. So no, I do not believe that they are changing their sound to sell records.

To be clear, I have every In Flames album from Jester Race to present. Every album is great. My favorites are Clayman, Reroute to Remain, and Sense of Purpose.

Clayman perfected their traditional Melodic Death Metal sound. Sense of Purpose is the most clear example of their modern take on Melodic Death Metal, and Reroute is the perfect combination of the two. Therefore Reroute is my favorite. It is a transitional album, and transitional albums tend to be magnum-opuses in my eyes. For example Sepultura's Chaos A.D. was the transition from old school thrash/death to the more nu metal sound of Roots, and it is their best in my opinion.

Personally I prefer a band that is vibrant and dynamic. I much prefer a band that evolves to a band that stays stagnant and keeps producing the same album over and over again.

I love a band that is not afraid to Reroute To Remain! :rock

Again,

IN FLAMES WE TRUST!

Shall we create a Metal music thread somewhere? :lol
Don't want to derail further but pretty much agree with everything there Mag except my favourite albums are probably:

Clayman
Whoracle
Reroute To Remain

And DUDE - Katatonia... Last couple of albums have some of the most melancholy and haunting pieces of music I've ever heard

LOVE Clayman and Reroute to Remain! I can listen to these albums over and over again!

But what I mean is that In Flames have started to make skateboards, skateboard-clothing and a lot of different merch that have NOTHING to do with the style they wear or "represent" (if you can call it that..but you know what I mean). That's what I mean by sold out.

I see you have changed your profilepicture and signature now Mag :).

Yes, Meshuggah is from Sweden. The very northen parts of sweden.

... and they are the GREATEST band from Sweden - EVER :D!!! And will release a new album, Koloss, in april ^^

DiFabio, you gonna display your '89 bats and joker in any special place? Or are they just gonna go in with the rest of you BM stuff?

I haven't thought about that yet. They'll definitely be side by side but I don't know if they'll be in my Batman 1989 shrine with my vintage collectibles or side by side with TDK Batman and TDK Joker.

Maybe they'll get their own shelf, I dunno. Lots of options. Batman could stand next to Reeve Superman too. Then there's the Batmobile . . . :gah:

The 89'/Present bats set-up would be a really cool contrast to one another.

Once you get the Batmobile and some of the returns stuff (penguin, CW) You could make a whole Burton throwback shelf. That'd be cool.
