Agreed!! DX02 looks better.

I own two of the DX 02 figures and as much as I like it, love it even, without owning the '89 version yet, I can tell it completely stomps the hell out of the DX 02 and then some. It really makes it look like a toy with odd proportions, especially the head. They really have come a long way with PERS.

Par that with all the poses you can achieve with the DX 09 that the DX 02 can't, and yeah, the '89 version is better. No contest. The DX 02 couldn't even really hold arm poses and everything about it was stiff.

As much as i love the dx02 i have to agree that the 1989 bats is much better.

Fixed. :lecture

For me, the neck is the one thing that really holds the DX02 back. And not only length. It's just so damn skinny.

I never got why they didn't catch the neck issue b4 mass producing them. Always seemed to jump out to me.

Dont know why you guys always have to compare. DX 08 is of course profitating from the experiences HT has made with earlier figures. So did DX 02. These are two complete different takes on one character. I love them both. :)

And looking atmy DX 02 I dont have any issues with proportions, but I have him displayed with the new Bale head as Tokio scene, so this might help. At least this is how I like DX02 most.

Sorryfor the crapy iPhone pic...

The thing with the DX02 is, even I think it looks crap in 99% of pictures, no offence to the photographer, but I can't remember a picture that's captured what it looks like and how I feel about it in hand. This is just my opinion. Honestly, I agree with you difab about the poseability (is that even a word?) but other than that it's still my favourite 1:6 figure.

I have to say though the lack of poseability (yes I said it again) is a big issue, it'll be nice to get a batman figure which can be posed! Hopefully they can get the next bale bats to the same level of poseability (yes a 3rd time!)

If I'm not mistaken, Salah mentioned in his video-review that the DX09 cant keep any pose due to his stiff arms as well?

I'm not ready to make an absolute statement yet since I don't have the '89 in hand, but from what I've seen people have taken amazingly lifelike photos of both 09 and 02, and since I like the TDK suit better than the '89 suit, I there-for like that figure better as well.

I am the biggest Nolan Batman nut but the DX09 DESTROYS the DX02, not even in the same ballpark. No need to even have it in hand to judge - it is that obvious for me.

HT really needs to give us a top quality TDKR Batman

im sure when the new Batman Dark Knight is released (apparatley) it will reign champion :)

sometimes DX02 looking good, like this

:clap

I still think the Medi is miles better then the DX. If you combine the two you have the ultimate TDK batman (like voids :drool)

Yeah, his batmans are pretty awesome. Wonder if HT will just rerelease the DX02 but with "rises" on the box, or if they will start from ground up.

If they re-release the DX02 with Rises on the box, it will confirm they've completed their transition from cool company that wants to impress its customers to lame greedy corporate

I've seen the DX02 look amazing in some pics. But only with a custom cape and modified neck.

Sorry for posting, DiFabio.

wow - I thought poseability was a real word, but apparently it isn't. Neither is poseable apparently :dunno

Yes it's a word. It's spelled "posable".
