My dog Jack. He's 13 and went in for eye surgery this morning. He got poked in the eye by a piece of a twig which was stuck in the corner of his eye. I took it out and took him to the vet. The vet said it looked like it scratched his cornea and there could be more twig in there. I scheduled the appointment for surgery but his eye is super red and pusy. Poor old man. :(
I pick him up today at 3:30. I hope the vet is able to get any pieces that still may be in there.

Hope he's all better now!

^^^ Thank you. He was woozy when he got home. He had a splinter in his eyelid. He's on cephlaxen antibiotic and an ointment for his eye. Whats really bad is that the vet felt a tumor on his testicle and recommends....castration. When he said tumor I freaked out, but he said its common for older dogs who arent neutered to get them and he didnt think its cancer. He said it will however cause a problem with his prostate if not removed.

I've always had my dogs fixed and other than my very first dog as a child, I had males. 8 months and the dingies are gone.

:D

I miss my Kitty. Do me a favor, if ya ever see a buzzard or vulture. Shoot it. That's what got her. :(

2009-2010 "Dover"

@username...pretty cat. :)

@orangepeace, omg...thats terrible! I am so sorry for your loss. :monkey2

@ween...being Jack has always been a mellow inside doggie I never thought to get him neutered. My female dog Bella is spayed and so are my cats.

Thanks. My favorite thing I loved doing with her was making her chase a target strapped to a fishing pole's line. Man... she could jump 4 feet high at her top speed.

Sorry to hear that.
She was a beautiful cat. Lovely markings.
Thanks.
Ditto.

That's terrible. :(

I had an owl go after my puppy once but managed to scare it off.

Are you sure about that? It is my understanding that they don't kill anything.

Sorry about Dover. :(

Thanks and not sure, Vultures here get big I mean like stand 1 and a half feet tall. She was still a juvenile and she loved to climb trees and climb them down. However speculation has made me wonder was the Racoon involved we have around here. She was found near the place where it is, however the vultures picked her clean. I could hardly even look.

Though I enjoyed having her as much I did, I mean this is what she looked like when I first had her. She was in the middle of the road in Dover, NC. Which I named her that. It suited. Looked like someone threw her out the window. She was still young. People do harsh things to unwanted kittens.

Then after some nuturing she became this in 1 years time.

I could never get a collar on her. She always took her paws and pushed it off head even with it being properly adjusted. Guess she didn't like the bell. :dunno :lol

Had to get her fixed, which it was either do that or pay $25 to the state each month... F'ers. So went to local ASPCA and had them do it for free. But after that, I swear... she became more wild to run off after being fixed than she was before. And the rest is history, I just hope to see her again when I'm gone from this world too.

I doubt it was the raccoon either. Since she was an outdoor cat, anything could've happened to her. The vultures just take care of the rest.

They get pretty big here too.

Sorry for your loss.
