Yea, at the end of the day, the extra cash you save is worth it. I think this actually worked out great for you...who cares what that DB thinks/says. As far as I'm concerned he is just feeding/proving the car salesman stereotype.
I have had many rides in my life.

Any plans for modification? Obviously simple bolt on stuff...
For ****s and giggles here is the email I sent. This is Ski's body slam in verbal form. I have edited the names since they have decided to work with me. My favorite part was my quote and my signature name.
Salesman,
We talked a little bit yesterday about the Scion FR-S I was going to purchase. You were able to negotiate a better trade in value for my wife’s care (which I did appreciate). You also made a comment about how you were my advocate and it was your job. Again, I appreciated that. A little bit goes a long way. You also stated not to fill in the check from "bank" in case you made me mad or something else happened. Well you made me a bit upset.
When I called you back yesterday and asked if you called me back you said no. I took your word for it and went about my business. It turns out you did in fact call me back. You just didn’t know it. I have the entire conversation that followed on my voicemail. It started off innocent enough. “I got a 99% done deal on an FRS.” That’s fine. As a fellow salesman I appreciate a good close and like to talk about my successes. That said you followed it up with “He does NOT need this car.”. Then I believe what followed is that you weren’t making much on the deal. I’m just some insurance salesman that gets in and out of car all day (so what). You also went into joking about me putting the car seat in the back and apparently my premature mid-life crisis. Let me clear one thing up. I make the decisions for what is best for my family. Our children have perfectly safe transportation (not that it’s your concern). I have the rest on my phone and frankly could only listen to it once. But I think you get the idea.
So I will end this with a quote from Mr. Nascar Driver. I think that speaks for itself.
"Our philosophy is very simple. We want our associates to treat our customers the same way that they would want to be treated. My partners and I expect a commitment to our customers from our entire team, and from ourselves."

04 rx-8
04 duramax diesel crew cab long bed, exhaust, intake chipped
08 STi exhaust, Stage 2
Current 03 limited 4runner
That Mustang looks like a handful. 500 hp? 550 maybe?
The big blower and scoop looks really neat, but after GTA 4 and driving those cars with set ups like that, I realized that I was no longer interested in having a car like that, at least for the street. The huge blind spot in the middle of the front of the car makes me very nervous.
It's great for drag racing, though.
I'm sure that was a fun car.
Those older Camaro's are just timeless. Their style holds up far better than the Mustangs in my opinion. Sorry you lost her but you have a nice vette taking over.
That's true. Love the Vette but miss the rawness of the SS.
Congrats, enjoy every minute. Glad things worked out for you. Post some pics.
Here she is.
It was a bunch of fun. I had a blast driving it around.. It go many looks. That must have been a lot of fun at any stoplight, nice stack.

The engine internals were forged, aluminum heads, it was estimated between 650-600 horse. It did take some getting used with the blower and the blind spot. The hardest part was driving around any curve. But nothing beats the sound and whine of the blower.
