What for 2500 i get a Lucas scribble :lol if its even real. Autographs should mean something like proof you met them in your life nothing more.

Oh my god... $2500 for a piece of crap ten year old monkey armed doll with a lazy scribble on the base... :rotfl

Try this one, it's an auction starting at $115. Much better value :slap :lol

Hot Toys 1 6 Famous Type Figure George Lucas Limited Hard to Find | eBay

HA ha yep saw the much cheaper listing for mr. Lucas and still feel's 100 steep for him. I have too many figure's right now to pay for assuming i ever get my order's in a week or so.

If anyone wants, you can send me your stands and I can scribble a perfect imitation of George's signature so you can flip your figures for thousands more than they're worth :wave Just PM me.

I'd definitely be interested to hear your impressions of the Tamashii 3-PO once you get it in-hand. Pretty sure you bought the last one which is why it's out of stock, now. Hope you get a great example of this fig, fett! :duff
I got my Tamashii C-3PO and my Sideshow R2-D2 on the same day. I like how they were shipped from different parts of the world but both arrived on the same day.

Anyway, I really like the Tamashii C-3PO. The figure looks really good in person. The real wires in the midsection are a great touch. I also like the light-up eyes and moving pistons. I find that articulation is a bit limited, but that is really to be expected with the character I suppose. My only two gripes are the commlink and restraining bolt look cheap and could have used a more accurate paint job. I also don't like the palms of C-3PO's hands because I think the color of the squares is off. I could be wrong, but I thought they were supposed to match the color if the rest of him. My figure had a slight imperfection on the top right of the chest, but otherwise looks great. I'm really impressed with the figure and I'm happy I decided to buy him.

Sideshow R2-D2 is pretty good too. He feels cheaper then C-3PO, but he still looks good. All of the opening compartments and lights make this the best R2-D2 I've ever seen. I don't really have any problems or dislikes with the figure.

I originally wanted to get 2 of the new Hot Toys Star Wars stands for these two. I may still do that if they come down in price. For now I have C-3PO on his included stand and I have R2-D2 on 2 generic basic Hot Toys style stand bases stacked on top of each other. This actually makes the stands for both figures exactly the same height. It really works well for displaying them next to each other.

Who needs an update? :lol

Whooooaaaa.... what the heck is that? :lol Is that real? :lol

Yup. I think they made three bootlegs back in the early 2000s before moving into military figures, and then into licensed movie figures with the first MMS Kyle Reese. They made George Lucas, a Neo figure and, if I remember correctly, an Ethan Hunt figure.

Echo Base Toys in Covina CA has two of those Lucas figures at the moment. Probably not listed on their website but if you want one I'd suggest you call them.

I like the idea of the Hot Toys stand. I like their Star Wars themed grates, I think they look great. I have my Tamashi 3P0 & SS R2 on two SS stands, with a semi-circle cut out of one stand so they'll fit together. I would recommend that you be cautious with the stand that came with 3P0, as the "pincher" clamp can loosen. 3P0 stands fine on his own, buuuut once he does start tipping... watch out below! Mine fell... thankfully into a box of packing - so, thankfully, no damage, but I still heard the "THUD" of the landing from the other side of the house. Anyway, I have mine in the old SS stand (non crotch-grabber), WAY more stable.

Thanks for the warning. Right now the stand that came with 3PO seems really stable at holding him in place. The clamp seems good for now. That's not to say it won't loosen over time as you described. I'm trying to hold out for those Hot Toys stands to become more readily available as the figures get released. For now the way I have the stands setup, it looks fine and seems like it will keep both figures next to each other with little or no issues (I hope!). Tonight I also just added a bit of height to my Darth Malgus stand so he'd be at the same level as my Sideshow Vader 2.0. Vader still looks too big compared to Malgus, but they are at least at the same level and Malgus now looks like less of a midget compared to Vader.

I'm a big believer in using a bit of Quake Hold whenever possible. Maybe not so much on the HT grates but always on the black oval stands.

I have kids. The stomp around like elephants. I would've had many fall-overs if I didn't put a dab of fixative under the feet of a few of my figures.

I'd be tempted to leave the figures alone and put the Quake Hold under the kids' feet instead. :wink1:

I was also a bit worried about the Tamashii stand, and at first wired the back of the clip to prevent it opening up by accident.

Now I have him on a HT oval stand. To avoid possible damage to the metal he's resting on just one cushioned end of the crotch grabber.

Then I made a simple black Lego base for SS Artoo to raise him to the same level as the oval stand.

I got two SS stands off eBay for $10 shipped (no one else bid :yess: ), then I cut out a round section of one base so they'll connect to each other (got that idea from someone on here - can't remember who, but thank you). My house is crazy old, & made from a few different houses over time. The original part of the house (the kitchen) was actually a slave house. Anyway my floors bounce like crazy. I actually give walking instructions to new guests. I'm gonna have to look up that QuakeHold Jel. Thanks for posting that Kamandi :hi5:

Yeah that stuff looks really promising. I would if it would be strong enough to hold up, say, a female figure in some small, narrow shoes? I really hate having to use those distracting crotch-grabbers or waist-grabbers, but unfortunately there are some figures where you just don't have much choice.

but unfortunately there are some figures where you just don't have much choice.

I've yet to do it, but I really want to put a small calf support into the floor of my bat cave for Selina Kyle. That's one figure that can stand on her own, but it's just such a PITA to achieve - and then a month later boom, she falls down.

May have missed it but are the EX shipping out? Reason I ask is my next to last flex is being charged today but when I pull up my order instead of "processing" it says "shipping soon" with 1 more payment to go.

I haven't gotten a notice about it shipping soon yet. Its scheduled for November so hopefully it arrives around then. I just really hope this figure turns out good and doesn't have a bunch of issues.
