Forgot to say, this was on the mark. Hilariously truthful. The spell-casting hands and the snake oil salesman voice keeps me away from his videos.

I've said it before and I'll say it again I really think the wiring being sculpted detracts from the figure. It doesn't seem terrible from the picture and I'd like to see better pictures of it but really wish Sideshow would have opted for real wiring like on the Tamashii. I'm sure that would have added cost but it would have looked better in my opinion. Other than that from the picture I'd say it looks decent except maybe the hands being a tad oversized like I mentioned earlier.

This looks pretty much like the proto, except for the chest dent. Might be just the photo but it looks more defined, like it was made with a hammer and punch.

This looks good so far from that one pic. I have the Tama and have this on pre-order but really need to cancel this. I don't need two 3POs right now and don't think this one will top the Tama outside of the hands and the fact that it's weathered. I think the only thing the Tama beats it in is the head (which is pretty important) and the belly wires. Neither wire section looks very accurate, but they looked like an absolute mess in ANH and I'd rather them not be too accurate. The SS wires look a bit closer to the ROTJ wires to me.

Looks good to me. I am keeping my pre-order. I don't have any other 3PO (unless you count an old Hasbro one) so this figure fills a "need". I was very happy with Sideshow's R2D2 - I have two of them. Could the droids be better? Yea, sure they could, and if HT gets around to making them I'll consider getting them if they are really good. This is one reason why I ordered the exclusive 3PO from SS, because he can be my weathered ANH version (with optional missing arm) and if HT makes a shinier version down the road I can get that too. If that happens I may even add to the weathering of the SS one down the road as well. But I am not holding my breath waiting for Hot Toys and I think I will be very happy with Sideshow's C-3PO.

Sounds like a great plan. I have always looked at the Tama but without the weathering just couldn't pull the trigger. Beautiful figure though. I'm excited for this Sideshow version.

This looks quite good, I did have the Bandai one but sold it as thought the colour was a bit light and the eye colour was also wrong.
This may make a good replacement, got the right eyes and the body colour tone is just right too.

This 3P0 will be going next to Jabba & his throne. My Tama is just way too clean for that kind of work.
