I pick mine up tomorrow and I've resigned myself that it will have the same f'd up hands. Mine was always going to be modded with new weathering so it was never going to remain mint.

If HT ever does this figure, I wonder if they would do the "sparkling clean" version from the award ceremony.

To anyone that has this, can his legs come together a bit more? He looks like his heels don't come close together. Thx

Those were of the prototype. Surprised they left that up when they switched over to the final product photos.

Interestingly enough, I noticed the final images some have the thumbs looking messed up and other don't.. I guess now they don't have to resolve the thumb issue.. since they now have images of the figure with crazy thumbs.. man you have to be kidding.. what do you guys think???

Yeah, I think at this point the question needs to be asked - does ANYONE have thumbs that are positioned/working correctly? If so, post pics.

Don't expect that to happen in this first batch. Perhaps it was caught and will appear fixed down the line... but that would open a whole can of worms for Sideshow and returns... so they might be better off just leaving the mistake than having to replace hundreds of these beyond the breakages.

I think it's actually ridiculous, that I paid $228 and the thumbs are messed up! I know, I know first world problems, but still, its not Sideshow's first rodeo, they've made action figures before. This is a beautifully designed and engineered figure that was unfortunately messed up in production. I really hope that Sideshow rectify this somehow?

This is my favourite version of Threepio because it's closest to the Kenner figure, but the Tamashii already looks like this to me.

I own an Iron Man MK VI bust, the one where the ARC was installed upside down at the factory (It was an easy fix)

Sideshow was offering discounts to people to keep their orders. I wonder if they're going to need to cough up again.

In the case of the MK VI bust it was a limited edition of 3000. They coughed up $25 dollar discounts to anyone who raised a stink. The edition size of C-3PO is a LOT bigger.

Such a great looking figure, but it's depressing reading about all these problems. If the hands are removable they should make new ones for everyone. If not, well, yikes.

I'd really prefer new hands.

Anyone try to remove the hands yet?

I didn't think both arms were removable but Brinn71 showed that both arms are in fact removable. So maybe hands are too. Meaning, they could be replaced.

I'm considering returning mine because of the thumb issue

I would. That's not a nitpick, it's a glaring production error. Really too bad, because otherwise I think this was a good piece, delicacy of the pistons notwithstanding.

Yeah other than the thumbs it looks pretty good. It has a nice gold color in hand as well

The more I think about it I think I am going to contact Sideshow regarding the broken piston on mine. They shouldn't get a pass for delivering a product that wasn't better designed and broke without me doing anything forceful to it. That and the thumbs are both pretty irritating on an otherwise nice figure.

I've got the reverse thumb issue like everybody else.

Does anyone also have pitted or paint slopped sections in the knee joints? This is the largest one on mine, and I have a couple small ones on the gold leg too.
