Got mine today. One question .. Is that little hole normal? Its on the left where the restaining bolt is finding his place.

Thanks!

I think the hole is there so the magnet can get a slightly better hold, although it's really a crappy magnet situation, from what I have seen and heard.

The magnet strength is terrible. A little movement will have it tumbling off. I lost one already and had to scour the floor for it.

The hole is on the costume, there to affix the restraining bolt.

Posted this in the R2 thread but since it also involves 3PO...

well I have a interesting update. After my last post when I called Sideshow and the rep couldn't do nothing about the broken left piston due to the fact I bought it from a third part vendor at Thinkgeek.com.
Well about 3 days later I get a email from Sideshow, but the original message I sent a week earlier at Sideshowtoys about damage toys and not from the phone call I had days earlier.
I explain the situation and tell them I just need the left bicep arm with the piston attached and show them a picture on how I was able to remove the arm from the elbow joint. Few days later I get a reply and tell me they will send a replace. So, for about 2 weeks of going back forth in more emails, I finally received my left arm yesterday.
When I thought all was lost, Sideshow actually pulled through, especially since I bought the figure from a third party vendor.

So, i want to so major thanks to the email rep and Sideshow, you guys rock!!

thanks Sideshow for fixing C3PO's arm by Jesse, on Flickr

Great news Getoninja...unless there's some sort of "in-stock" problem I'll always purchase from SSC, it's great to have the added insurance of getting something repaired/replaced. I had to purchase Chewbacca from Forbidden Planet NYC because I waited too long; the transaction went well but I'm not sure how they would have reacted if there was a problem since I received the last one they had in stock.
