That skin tone might actually be a bit too light. Looking at photos of the actor.

Surprisingly, I'm not digging the headsculpt.

The head looks too smooth other than that its very well done for a figure.

Surprisingly, I'm not digging the headsculpt.

Trev nailed the sculpt for me personally and I think the paint apps we saw in the blog release are much closer to his actual skin tone.

I still thin that HT has a better way to capture the 'real' skin look. Still I'm getting him and Rex, very excited.

Cody's hair is tight, like a 1 blade from his ears up then turns into a 2 or 3 blade. Just to be accurate. The figure is not.

It's technically not a PPO, just a regular Pre-order... but it should be up around 9pm ET/6pm PT.

And that's just for those who want the tacky stand. The rest of us will have to wait just a bit longer before we can order.

i'm getting the stand that won't leave the star wars logo imprinted on the bottom of cody's feet when you decide to repose him a year down the road.

I suppose the LFL licensing fees are irrelevant as well.

I think so, every character has some sort of licensing fee.

I consider that giving SS an "out" because IMO it isn't the case.

HT T-1000 retails for $150 ($25 more) yet has two unique head sculpts (with realistic skin texture), a helmet, multiple unique hand attachments, clothing etc.

SS Cody has pieces of unique armor elements, two helmets, a human sculpt and new armor paint otherwise, it is the same trooper version as the last 10.

I am not a sculptor, painter or cloth expert but again for $125 I don't understand why SS offers the same lousy paint app as a $70 figure.

MF provided proof the sculpt is there which IMO means the problem lies in the paint. Everyone has their own opinion which is neither here nor there but to me their inconsistent craftmenship is why I rarely by SS product. The armor and helmets look amazing then plop this doll like head on top and it ruins the figure. Guess it is a good thing I'll pose with v2 helmet

Guess I've been lucky outside of a few pieces here and there I've always been happy with my purchases from both. Getting plenty of bang for my buck basically.

Which is why I said everyone has their preferences. I don't like SS human paint apps and I wish they would fix them. Their figures sell therefore, plenty of folks do like them. No worries....

And no license compares to the cost of Star Wars. None. I'm not saying you have to like the paint. It is for the most part a matter of preference. Just consider the full spectrum of factors that enter into Sideshow's pricing.
