Re: Sideshow 1:6 Commander Cody - NEWSLETTER PO 8/19

I do remember seeing that raw sculpt and it was 100% TM to me.

Re: Sideshow 1:6 Commander Cody - NEWSLETTER PO 8/19

Am totally happy with what I see in the images. Will just be getting one.:lol

Hope Gree is next.

Re: Sideshow 1:6 Commander Cody - NEWSLETTER PO 8/19

I am for Bly or any of the commanders that are outfitted like that with the visors and kamas and pistols. I would like to get all 4 colors of them.

Re: Sideshow 1:6 Commander Cody - NEWSLETTER PO 8/19

Put me down for wanting all of the commanders as well. Bring on Gree and Bly

This figure looks really awsome especially the armor. I wonder who painted the sculpt.....i wonder:monkey3

Re: Sideshow 1:6 Commander Cody - NEWSLETTER PO 8/19

I like the idea that the clones don't look exactly like Jango.
Morrison was 39 at the time of AOTC, I would imagine the clones would in their twenties as this one looks. Like identical twins, as they age, they look slightly different.
Besides I dont want six Jango Fett headsculpts. They may be clones but they shouldn't look exact.

The helmets and portrait look good to me. I notice that further improvements have been made to the ROTS helm from the base ROTS helm, so kudos to Sideshow for continuing to correct errors from the original as they move forward.

The paint on the proto really doesnt do the sculpt any justice.
Additionally, the shoulder armor looks like it needs some futzing or to be turned down. Seems like there's too much deltoid showing.
That said, this is gonna be an awsome arrival.

That proto paint is gonna be 100 times nicer than the production piece, I'm afraid.....I see absolutely nothing wrong with the proto paint myself, but we'll agree to disagree :wink1:

Re: Sideshow 1:6 Commander Cody - NEWSLETTER PO 8/19

what time does this go up?is it 10am sideshow time on the thursday?
sorry,im in aus and trying to work the time frame out.it says
2:18 am on their site.
thanks for any help.

Re: Sideshow 1:6 Commander Cody - NEWSLETTER PO 8/19

If the sculpt is still basically this, just a little refined, I have no worries.

Couple things on the paint are throwing it off a bit, the eyes look a little squished in there and the eyebroads look too thinned out, Morrison has pretty thick eyebrows.

I have no issue with the likeness of the head sculpt.

The clones might all have the same head, guess the only concern is the placement of the scars. I hope Cody's is screen accurate.:rotfl

My experience with Sideshows figures is that the protos always look fantastic (as this one does) but nearly every time the final production versions are pretty far removed from them in terms of paint quality, it's one of the things that stopped me buying any more SS figures: consistent mediocre quality vs increasing prices = stop purchasing.
