It's not like they're not going to include them because there are people who don't want them. If they can include features that increase the price of the figure, they will. If that's the case, I'd rather they made the most of it.

I'd agree with that. The speaker grills on Medicom's latest 3PO, for example, are a travesty. That said, I'm not getting the impression that Sideshow would deface this great sculpt with an obvious grill. Hopefully pics on Thursday have detailed pics from all sides, so we can confirm. Also hoping that they decide to change the pole to a clear plastic for production.

From the silence sideshow gives me I don't think they have any interest themselves at tackling a C3PO or R2D2 not since medicom has theres and tamashi has theirs so we are stuck with either models so get use to them.

where are you seening the update that the probe droid has sound?

Only one problem sideshow the stem is to opaque it won't blend in a snowy backdrop use plexiglass or something.

if you do that and it has a clear stem it's really a good droid it's just these pics really sold me on it just need one modification before you release.

I just went to the sideshow site and it has the new sound...

Maybe they have an opaque pole to hide a wire or because it's made of metal to hold the weight of the droid.

The fact the pole isn't clear isn't a deal breaker for me.
Maybe a pole made from a clear material would yellow over time?
Depending on the material they use?
Don't know,either way the figure looks great!

I don't see why they'd be more than $175.

$200? The idea that they'd only be $50 cheaper than the probe droid seems fairly ludicrous.

The Padawan Kenobi was $150 and came with a light-up saber... so these being (likely) on the more basic figure side should be closer to that price than $200.

I won't rule out $175, but I'm thinking $159.99
