Lets wait for in hand pics because this happened to plissken when it came out. The SSC pics looked bad but the figure was better in hand. Still the hat looks way to big. The sculpt likeness is better on the priduction but the paint is still soft.

The more I look at it, the less it looks like Ford. Sideshow have done exactly what Hot Toys did with their Indy, produced decent looking outfit/accessories and totally fumbled on the headsculpt. The custom sculptors will be rubbing their hands with glee :(

All the time they've had to get that sculpt decent and this is what they produce?! I'm committed to this now, but it will be my last SS 1/6 scale. I'm not willing to waste my any more of my hard-earned on such substandard efforts. Very, very disappointing [emoji35]

Well the paint job looks pretty good. Sculpt looks good with the hat off. The head just looks undersized.

These are all rare occurrences with Sideshow. :lol

Yup. If I had a hundred guesses to predict a problem with a Sideshow figure, I never would have picked "good paint/tiny head." :lol

The world is upside down!

Hmmm. From these pics he looks about 75-80% there for me. A step down from the proto. Not a deal-breaker for me, but it is disappointing.

Need to see this in hand.

I don't think the sculpt or paint look bad at all. The hat is ridiculous. It's these things that make me question SS's business model and pricing - $230 and no additional "hat on" sculpt.
I am keeping my exclusive order, but only because I don't have an Indiana representation and this one is not completely horrible. The body looks really good IMO.

I can't really see Ford in this sculpt anymore... and honestly didn't see a lot in the original either. But whatever they did to the size seems to have also altered the look of the sculpt a bit. I kind of reminds me of the Medicom Indy; kind of a squashed overly square Harrison Ford look-a-like.

It looks pretty good in that 3/4 angle with the hat off but the hat does look pretty huge when it's on and in some of those far away shots he's looking a little boyish, maybe that's where the Bana is coming in. Little boy Bana.

This shot looks like Ford to me and looks pretty sold. The others I'm not sure of. Wish they would post higher-res shots of these figures:

Looks like the back of the hair is removable... if that's the case it should have allowed for the hat to be properly scaled. I think Sideshow was right with the original Indy to include two heads; would have been smart here as well.

Yep, looks like the head actually shrunk quite a bit in production so now he's got a bit of a pin head and big hat.

The figure overall looks pretty good compared to the proto and the head is not a trainwreck. The paint is a definite downgrade, but we knew that was going to happen. I really wish Sideshow would begin painting the prototype figures in a manner similar to what the final product will look like. Not sure how HT does it, but you rarely (if ever) see this kind of stark drop off between proto and finished product.

Yeah, I already paid $200 for this already and one payment left. I dont know if to cancel and go with the unsatisfied route and delay issues so i dont get cancellation fees or wait till inhand pics.

Would Sideshow really buy that at this late stage? If so, it's an option I'd seriously consider.

Agree. I also thought the original wasn't 100% Ford either (I thought their previous attempts had a better sculpt), so whatever happened during production pushed the likeness even further away. Even though the paint is a downgrade, I have to say I think it's still pretty good and better than Sideshow's usual. At least the eyes look good!

I actually don't think the head looks too small, per se. It's almost like the face/features look a little small for the face, which is what's making his head look more squashed/squared like you said.

And what makes you think the back of the hair is removable? Because it looks a little flat in that picture? I don't think the back of the hair is removable--just a flat back head.

Anyway, I expected some disappointment. But since I already thought it didn't look like Ford to begin with, I think I'm actually ahead of the game! :lol Seriously though, I'm...okay with it. I think the paint is pretty good, the eyes look good (my biggest concern all along), and the clothes/accessories look good. It may be my last Sideshow human figure (I might get the Jawas).

I'm not certain what to say about this. He looks like a kid wearing "daddy's" hat, that's clear. Pin head on a great looking body with very nice outfit. Likeness doesn't suck. I don't know. It's good and bad all at the same time. Definitely my last 1/6 from SSC. Aside from their Star Wars droids and aliens(jawas).

Cancelled. Not terrible but not a $230 figure (well more like $320 for me in the UK). The comparison of the proto and production head sealed it. This was my last hope for SS figures but nope, not at these prices. Sorry. Either drop the price or improve the quality, you can't have it both ways.

Sticking to HT from now on and hope they revisit Indy one day.

Think this one was SS's biggest and best chance of producing a good quality headsculpt on a high profile character to make collectors reappraise their view on their 1/6 human characters. Sadly for them and us they failed.

If you have one flexpay left, can you still cancel and get a full refund? Or would you lose all the previous payments you'd made?

Only glaring thing I see is the shrunken head!
Looks really nice otherwise, but this at least is no beetlejuice ball drop, maybe the small head was meant for him? What the hell ssc? Don't you know which license is which?:slap

I could probably live with the likeness myself (being no more generic a Ford than the HT Han in my view), but the small head and laughably huge hat just makes it a complete dealbreaker for me. At the very least they needed to get the basic sizes right so it could look halfway decent and realistic on your shelf, but they clearly didn't put much effort into that at all. And even from a distance this thing is going to look pretty silly.

And really, with how few accessories there are, they couldn't have made the machete from real metal instead of plastic?
