This looks great. More Ford there than HT Solo. Better than the proto too.

What are you guys smoking?

Can't make my mind up on this one yet. I ordered him with a code before there was an NRD, so there's nothing to lose in cancelling.

It's not as bad as I feared, except that the head does look a bit small. But probably no smaller than some HT heads.

Could be the photos, but the expression has lost intensity in these new ones. The stubble is also a lot lighter, so the face is not as defined.

From intense and determined, he looks a bit more...

But it will probably depend on the angle of the head and the shadows cast by the fedora brim over the eyes.

I will wait for in hand photos before anything is said and done with me.

Not as bad as what I was expecting. Now what I just said says a lot because we should not have to keep saying that about SS.

The sculpt look good but I think the hat is to big and was warped some how. In hand pics will be the real test.

I'll pick him up once the inevitable discounts get applied to him down the line when SS are struggling to shift it. Pisses me off, as I'd prepped a jacket and a few other extras to use this a the basis of an 'ultimate' Indy. Can only hope that in the meantime someone sees a business opportunity and produces a reasonably priced, painted -up sculpt that bears a decent resemblance to Harrison Ford.

Still keeping my po. How it looks in the latest pics is about what I expected. What I did'nt expect was the smaller head.
Only in-hand will I know how I'm gonna tweak it. And yes, I know I should'nt have to. I've ordered a 1:6 mine cart to go with this figure, so maybe I can showcase that more than ToD indy

It'll definitely work as a dio with this Indy inside the cart, just his legs sticking out the top.

I was thinking that no matter how bad the paint job would be that the underlying sculpt would still be good. But now it looks like the sculpt has shrunk and the hat is ginormous. Maybe by some miracle, it's not as bad as it looks.

After some more looks at all of the pics I've figured that it's not really the size of the head (because it really doesn't look all that small without the hat)... it's the damned HAT! They really should have done 2 heads, one with the hat and one without. It's clear that they couldn't properly engineer a hat in production that would fit over the head and not look too big. Medicom also had this issue.

That said, it's clear that there was some warping in the sculpt during the production process. That's a shame.

It's still not a total disaster, though. But at that price... damn. SMH

The paint looks good for a Sideshow figure and the likeness isn't bad but the sculpt definitely looks small. I'm not regretting cancelling this at the moment.

i just know that if Sideshow now announce Short Round, there is a 90% chance he will come with an oversized bobble head.

It's really kind of ridiculous how Sideshow figures manage to disappoint time and time again. A lot have had decent sculpts with crappy paint or weird eyes or whatever other issue. Now this has good paint but an undersized head that ruins it (for me at least). They need better QC or something before they release figures. Especially when they keep upping their prices.
