Shrinkage rates will also play a role. Some plastics shrink more than others. And I can't imagine SS going through a lot of development time to fine tune moulds to a mega small tolerance.
Knowing this crowd, no matter how small the gap, people will find it and have OCD cranial breakdowns over it.
No gap is acceptable other than the two-finger gap.
I don't quite follow that logic he mentioned in the video. Most high-end prototypes like this would be 3D printed in ABS

Often when prototyping, they will make a mold of the original print/sculpt, which allows multiple copies, usually cast in resin, to be made relatively quickly/easily for paint testing, etc. Given that he stated the prototype shown is resin, my guess is that is the approach they used...
I do hope for an updated or HT version of the ROTJ Bib Fortuna. But you can actually get a pretty good one out of the old SSC version. A body swap is essential, heavy water treatment and a slight repaint.

did you replace the body and what body did you use and how?
It’s a ttm19 narrow shoulder body I believe. The boots work fine if you remove the toes and the head has a peg that is small. So I removed the bigger peg from the neck and used some blue tag to hold the smaller peg.
do you have some pics of the mod on how you did it.
It's not a bad sculpt when it repainted.
Not sure who this belongs to but.. yeah...
Looks great. But not pale enough for Bib I think.
