Sideshow 1/6 Jabba and Throne

Yeah, it has a slightly zombie look actually.

This is my SSC Bib with eyes repainted and the Hasbro one I added some SSC parts to (before I found the full SSC figure for super cheap.) Not sure what to do with these guys. Even though its an old and simplistic sculpt lacking in detail, there's something about the Hasbro Bib that captures him a bit better.

EDIT: Just realized I pulled one of Hasbro Bib's hands out of the balljoint in this pic.

I do love the EX staff he comes with - one of the very first SSC nods to Kenner, and probably something Bib should have had in the movie - really suits his character.

I like having two Bib Fs - I use one next to Jabba and another greeting Luke in my Jabba dio.

I see what you mean. For me it’s the almost translucent plastic the Hasbro is made of that makes it pop. But I do very much prefer the Sideshow sculpt. But seeing it next to the Hasbro one in your picture he looks too tanned.
I really feel like my Bib has had a revival in my display after I modded him. I also repainted his eyes adding some fluorescent paint to the mix.You can’t see it in pictures, but I can really recommend that. I also glued the back tentacle to the front one on the left side. Somehow I feel like it makes a difference. And it’s more accurate.

Hmm... think. Of a character who pretty much always stands right next to Jabba. A character who some might argue a new Jabba display wouldn't be complete without. That really is part of the Jabba/throne. Who would that be? Hmmmm....

Yeah, a discussion of options for a Bib Fortuna fig would be of no interest to those buying a new Jabba/throne, right? I mean we might as well be discussing a Wicket or Doc Brown figure here right?

For anyone who cares Jabba's tail is straight in the movie until Luke shows up. From that point on it's curled. So the original SSC Jabba is accurate to the Luke/Slave Leia scenes and this Jabba is accurate for displays with just the Droids or Boushh/Chewie.

I like the ANH scene, I wish they had used the Phantom Menace model when they "upgraded" the CGI in 2004, I don't get how you get the '97 which is ok, then do a great rendering of a young Jabba in Phantom Menace, then try to enhance the '97 with new CGI only to replace it with probably the worst CGI of the 3.
