Personally I can't see stands being included or not being the deciding factor for anyone in regards to whether to purchase this set. Easy enough to make a nice, large sand base that'd be big enough for these guys and a droid or two for probably $10. I'll wait for a coupon and definitely pick them up for $200. That's more than fair, IMO.
To me it's not the biggest deal but it's sort of just the idea of them not being included and supposedly driving up the prices on these I find questionable. I mean the set is fairly barebones and these two aren't the most complex figures or anything. I know there's some stuff to them with their robes and bandoliers and whatnot, but like I pointed out the fact that you can get a lot of the Hot Toys figures that have more sculpted details plus tailored outfits or sculpted armor for Troopers and come with a lot more accessories plus a diorama base makes the price of these seem high. I'll still probably get them at some point but I'll wait until they're eligible for a $20 off coupon.

220 ? For two jawas. A hundred bucks each? No way, sideshow. No way. I'm so glad that I have just about everything I want coz that is gonna price people out

Price isn't ideal, but when you look at the current landscape of 1/6 collecting these are on par. Just look at HT's new Terminator figure.

Neither of the Yoda's (the other shorties released so far) came with a stand. Due to the height you can't really use one... but some kind of sand base would have been a welcome addition.
The newer yoda ex came with a chair from the senate and a chair from the Jedi council room. I would count those.

@CAHOBBIT - SIDESHOW ALEX...why is there a limit of SIX???? Now I am not happy...

Hi Alex,

I must have missed this; you said the bandoleers are "cut and sew" so are they actual pleather or something? I thought they were molded plastic. Are the pouches functional in any way?

Yep, prices are insane... it does seem like the ES continues to go down so I wouldn't expect there to be more than 3,000 of these made which likely has an effect on cost.

Sure, those are cool accessories, but neither came with a stand for just "standing" up the figure.

Functional, I can't answer. But I can say, at Celebration the bandoleers were material, like Zartan's pouches, they were not molded plastic.

And there's a close up image of them and it's clearly material, not sculpted.

Oh that's great! Thanks guys. I breezed right past the close-up on my phone, just assumed they were plastic.

I'm not preordering but I do hope they'll be around once they start shipping because I would love a pair to go with my Tusken Raider. But the lower ES -- and suggested 3,000 units -- makes me nervous. Thank god for credit card defaults and impetuous children.

Sorry. I know the limit of 6 really prevents folks from creating an army of Jawas. :-(

They are fabric in nature (though I don't know what the exact material being used is) and not molded plastic. The prototypes are not functional and I'm not aware that that will change. If it does in the future I'll let y'all know! :)

Hmmm... Always love Jawas and was really excited. But I'm tired of the prices, so might hold off for a while.

yeah I was to. but at least I have a couple of custom jawas that will be the center of the display case. r2 and friends.jpg

Can I buy Euros off you at that rate?

I didn't look up the rates, I was just fixing the accidental inversion that Nate had made. But the rate posted is the interbank rate, not the rate you'd get over the counter. Nate had the 1.11 correct, it's still there right now. The Canadian rate I posted is client rate from a credit card, which you can see has a few points spread, plus an additional 2.5% at the very least.

If these really are "true value" prices, I don't see how it's profitable to make secondary characters anymore, I can't see many takers at theses prices.

I'll wait for Hasbro to do a 1/12 version.
