Plenty from both HT and SSC (and others).

BTW if you want to fixate on prices, check the current selling price of the Tusken. That's the only thing you should be looking at, not the prices of the past.

I'm definitely looking at the prices - I'm just in the process of "cloning" my figure (cast the face and bandoliers, using Hasbro robes and real fabric for the head wraps) to make a custom one so I can sell my SSC one.:dunno:lol

It's a great figure overall (the head's terrific,) though not a huge fan of the robes or teeny hands. And the body and wrapped feet are the worst.

You can also make your own Jawas - but when you do, you might appreciate the value of paying someone else $110 ea for finished goods. I've been through the entire process and I wouldn't build someone else a Jawa for $110.

I'm hopeful they turn out well, I think the newest pictures are promising. If they turn out exceptional I would consider getting a couple sets. Really hope the stock bodies are well done because they would be very difficult to replace. Would like to see the eyes lit too.

Robes are an improvement, hoods are really bad...accessories are brilliant, once again.....but to me at the end of the day they don't look like the star Jawa's. They look like Jawa's but I think I rather continue to build my own...possibly borrowing some accessories from these.

The hands in particular are really tiny and i'm not digging the eyes all that much. I will have to wait and see on the release and customer feedback.

Interesting that they got rid of the black fabric inner lining on the hood

Didn't notice it before because I hadn't taken a good look at the photos beyond the weave, but in short, they didn't. The hoods are still lined in black. Take a look again.

Pixelpiper;8535119I haven't felt ripped off with any Sideshow SW release I've picked up since 2012.[/QUOTE said:
Did you buy Jango? Terrible design (the figure mechanics, not the character/design itself). It burned me bad. I want these, and I love SSC (or DID) but now I have to wait for someone else to feel the burn before I test the water.

Doh, good eye. Looked like shadows on my phone. So we're now back to its bad that they have the black lining? :lol

Just said the same thing to myself. The problem with internet on phones - or my eyesight.

Umm, I collect Star Wars, not George Lucas' nightmare comedy of errors. :yess:

Yeah, yeah. I know... not to derail into that subject again but I still love the character designs, costumes and a few ideas there even if execution was somewhat "lacking" to put it nicely.

Jango is a cool looking character, SSC's execution of him is on par with George's on the prequel trilogy. Could have been so cool but let so many down.

I've never liked Jango - didn't like the costume, didn't like the portrayal - didn't even like the fact he was a character to begin with or had anything to do with Boba Fett. Plus... PURPLE. Ugh.

Jawas on the other hand, have always been cool and should have been all over the prequel Trilogy like the munchkins in the Wizard of OZ.

They show up occasionally, like riding beasts that allow for Jar Jar's stepping in poop joke. Surprised they didn't have a flying saucer in the Senate right next to f'n E.T.

I was hoping Jar Jar was, at some point, going to open up like Quaid's airport disguise in Total Recall, with a couple of Jawas stepping out brandishing lightsabers.

Hey now....them's fight'n words there, bud..... :)

Some of us like Jango....

...now back to these jawas. Anybody got any fresh pics from Wondercon? that video was cool (if not a little quick and shaky)...I'm really looking forward to these little guys....will have to take another trip out west and get some shots in a suitable desert location...

Yeah, I'm generally a PT hater (or more PT ignorer) but I like Jango's costume and look - though no, didn't like the actor portrayal. But the battle with Ewan was cool and "very Star Wars" to me.

Jango just doesn't look right without his usual friends around. Here he is in a group shot.

Typically pop-culture and toy companies license character designs from movies and then produce products. With the PT, it looks like Lucasfilm let Hasbro first make the toys and then they recreated them on screen in human scale. :slap
