I have to say I LOVE Jango - not for the stupid film portrayal , but the fantastic (better than all the prequels combined) story in the 2002 video game Bounty Hunter.

I just purchased and played it again on PS4, thinking it was probably going to be terrible now - but it stills holds it own very well.

Great origin story of the clone army.

I'm a little hesitant to pick these guys up. I've had some issues with my recent SS direct purchases and the hood tentacles are a bit concerning as well.

the hood tentacles are a bit concerning as well.

You wrap them around the neck and tuck them under the hood - just like in the movie. No worries - unless they're super stiff for some reason and constantly pop out.

I don't think there is anyway you could hide those huge tentacles under the hood without it destroying the look of the Jawa. No way.....those things are roughly 12x larger and more bulky than the prop ties.

For all we know those were temporary costumes used only for the show, because the proper ones were out being dry cleaned.

Just for confirmation, I went back through my saved photos from Celebration/SDCC and verified that the Jawas have always been displayed with costumes having the "tentacles." This means they're also there on the costumes in all the current marketing photos on the Sideshow site.

What colour are the robes? They look too light. I would like a dark brown jawa which is how I see them.

Pre-ordered these today after deciding not to pursue Marvel/superheroes. Shout-out to Sideshow customer service for refunding the NRDs on a couple figures. Also finally pulled the trigger the Sideshow R2 with the rogue25 code. I was thinking of two sets of Jawas, so I can pose them carrying R2, as seen after zapping him.

All his doors and arms and stuff will fall open if you do this. You may want to look at a cheaper R2 (Hasbro or something) for this display. R2 is a great figure but a little delicate on the posing.

You killer of dreams! Lol. Okay. Maybe he'll just get parked with DX07 Luke and Medi Yoda...

I know, but it doesn't look darker, which is what I go for - the on-screen look rather than fidelity to the outfit.

What? You've lost me. The figures robes don't look darker than the costumes in the movie? They do in all the photos I've seen, including the latest ones on here accounting for overhead lighting and camera flash.

If you were saying they looked too dark, sure, I could probably agree with that. I think they'll work "more or less" though, given some lighting and shadows on a shelf.

Looking forward to these little guys. Wor-Gar let me know if you are still considering going in on splitting a set.

Yeah, but there are no photos on Sideshow's site that shows the Jawa's from behind like they are showing at Wondercon. I think there is a possibility that they can fix between now and then as clearly they have addressed the material issue, which is a big win. But those hoods make it impossible for me to proceed on a PO at this stage. I'll be really interested in their poseability and final look. All in all this is a very affordable improvement over anything that's out there.
