You never know. Who would of thought we'd get death star gunner. These ot figs sell well. They'll have the license for years. I'm sure we'll all get what we want eventually.

Yes, but HT seem to be doing almost all imperial trooper designs, so I don’t think that the Death Star Gunner was as surprising as it seems. ...but never say never. On the other hand, there might be a very VERY long wait, and can you really have too many different Jawas?
Edit: ...and Tusken Raiders for that matter.

I'd hate to burst your bubble but I don't think one of those things will happen. This stuff is our childhood and our escape from reality but to the studios it's just a business. The star wars and marvel machine will not stop pumping for a long long long time. And as for DC. They don't care how bad or screwed up it is. They just know youre gonna see it no matter what. Did you hear that they rushed the release of Justice league so Warner Bros execs could get larger Christmas bonuses. That'll show you how they value their franchise.

My set came in today, I used the Valentine’s discount. I’m pretty happy with them and I got luck that I don’t have any loose joints. But how the hell does this set not come with a droid caller? I’ll have to pick up an extra Luke one on eBay

Interesting about the non-loose joints Steve. Has anyone else got these recently ?

I'd love to know if they have in fact fixed the joint problem.

Yeah I had them in my cart with the Valentine's code. Couldn't pull the trigger this time.

Yeah I held off for a long time because of the floppy joints. I guess I got lucky, both of them are able to stand on their own without issue. I didn’t screw with the leg joints every much and didn’t do any crazy poses out of fear out loosen up the joints. It does suck though to by a figure and knowing it should have issues right out of the box.

I didn’t screw with the leg joints every much and didn’t do any crazy poses out of fear out loosen up the joints. It does suck though to by a figure and knowing it should have issues right out of the box.

I found the droid caller, thanks for the heads up. The packaging looked like it had been opened when I got it. Maybe SS tested the batteries on the figures before shipping. The caller was in the box

I decided not to pull the trigger on these guys when I had them in my cart several times prior to the Valentine code expiring. Now i kinda wish I made the buy.
Oh well I’ll keep patient and wait for a deal down the line. At least I saved some towards Tarkin & Vader whenever I get billed for them.

Yeah, there was a lot of whining about these when they first released (mostly due to the bodies, which is a very fair criticism and a poor reflection on Sideshow) but they display beautifully. My group of four with lights on really looks like they stepped right off the screen. They are another character that even if HT did them, they wouldn't be much better (other than they'd have high quality bodies.)

The leather work on these is superb.

Leather work is really great, but I wasn’t as sold on the robe material as you, though they did drape and shape nicely. And I like the hood shapes you could get though.

Yeah, as I posted at the time I got these, when it comes down to fabric looking 100% accurate vs draping/falling well (doing both would be an act of God,) I tended to go with draping because this fabric, while not having that waffle weave, has nice weight and fall from the arms, especially useful for weapon pointing poses.

As outfits like Ben's robe and Leia's dress, even HT struggles with some of the distinctive fabrics in SW. HT Ben's robe has a kind of chamois feel and seems too dark to me, and the issues with leia's dress (which neither looks right or drapes well) have become legendary.

I ordered these once, then returned them straight away. Mainly due to the floppy joints, but the fabric didn't really do that much for me either. Seemed stiff. But I was already in a negative mood due to the floppy joints so didn't give the material much of a chance.

Yes I think the choice of materials shapes and drapes beautifully. Has weight to it. And if you look closely the pattern isn’t that far off. Leatherwork is flawless. The size of the eyes is closer the the ROTJ Jawas. So, yes, apart from the floppy bodies, mine stand ok by themselves though, I don’t think they could be done that much better. They display beautifully. ...and if HT ever makes a Jawa, then hey, I have three.
