Same here. Floppy bodies kept me away. I was also disappointed they didn't come with their signature pistol:

There you go Hot Toys. There's your upgraded version right there. Make the joints good. Make the electrics good. And licence to print money.

that was never even seen on screen... well... in deleted scenes in ROTJ only... but their other was the one they USED in ANH. Sideshow got the prop version correct.

I bought them once but sent them back due to the floppy joints and average material used. If they keep them the same floppy bodies and all I will be very disappointed. Price as always from SS is already disappointing.

I had mine for about a week before I got rid of them. Bodies were horrible.

There were a couple issues with them, floppy joints being the worst, but I think the fabric they chose was great. It drapes so well and is easily positioned and folded and it stays in place afterward too.

There's been too many times a company used a stiff fabric that may be a little closer to screen accurate pattern wise but looks awful and unnatural on the figure. I prefer a natural drape over a perfect stitch pattern match myself.

Still a couple of my favorites in the collection despite the shortcomings.

Do you all know where I can get a replacement body for the taller Jawa? I had an IKEA Detolf incident last night. All three inner glass shelves collapsed and unfortunuately the taller Jawa's leg was amputated Luckily Vader, Leia, Han, Ben, C-3PO and the shorter Jawa appear unscathed. WORD OF ADVICE: when assembling your Detolfs make sure the inner horizontal metal shelf support bars are facing the INSIDE of the Detolf.

....One of my least favorite Sideshow figs I have ever bought - this from a pretty much apologist too. The figs themselves look good, nice soft goods, good presence, however, they do fall over a lot while on their stands in a detolf but the eyes are what really piss me off. You basically have to undress them to turn them on, and then, obviously, they cannot be displayed turned on as they will run through their batteries in a matter of hours. It is a shame, because lite they do look great, but unlit, very subpar particularly for the price.

Hot Toys Vader had the same problem: you had to undress the figure to work the electronics. Whoever designs these toys should realize no one wants to strip down their dollies just to use the bells and whistles. A remote control would have worked well here.

With the Jawa I found you could sort of access the switch through the back of the hood. Had to kind of dig in through the back but it was easier than removing the hood. Still not ideal though.

100% agree, but it's nothing new - e.g. IG-88 you'd get all posed just right, but to turn on the lights you have push on his head that would mess up the pose and make weapons fall etc, and he'd be all set up on the light-up stand... but the switch for the stand is UNDERNEATH.:slap

I have the Jawas posed looking toward daylight and I do find you can get a decent eyes shine like that without the lights on.

Until 1/6 manufacturers can come up with a way to trigger lights with a smartphone (ie turning on/off every figure light-up feature you have in a whole detolf at the same time,) light up features are going to be a finicky gimmick that is fun for the first day then is used once every six months.

Thing is that sort of stuff is possible and it's not very expensive. Even if there was a dedicated remote to make it cheaper.

Surely a wired foot into the stand could be possible to to run them off DC should be designable too.
