I'm looking forward to one day be able to take the time to dedicate myself to more customizing work, bashes and such. Nate and Chaka, to name just two that I follow, have been super inspirational here. Looking at what's coming this year I may have to dip my toes into this just to get the figures up to their full potential.

So it's looking good that R2 will get to "Buy Now" real soon, right? Nice. I'll feel more comfortable criticizing the figure once I have him and have spent my own money on him. ;)

Received an Early Processing Offer for the little guy! :blissy

Just got mine too. After seeing all of the photos and reviews I'm glad they did this because my last payment wasn't until the end of March. Can't wait until it gets here.

Have to admit, it's tempting to just cancel all my pre-orders and bail on collecting, especially with the cost having gone up considerably due to our dollar being devalued. Everything I've got I've wanted for a long while, though, so I'll tough it out. Want to be satisfied with what I have within a year or two and be finished, though. I think collecting indefinitely is not something I would find enjoyable.
Nicely put man - & some great posts generally over the last few pages. It's actually encouraging to see some level heads assessing things for themselves & showing that this place isn't just some asylum for a cacophony of salivating dolly hoarders. :lol

I've been in the 'minimalist' head space for at least 60% of my time with this hobby. I've never actually associated myself with the term 'collector', because I just don't buy things that often - or have that much to qualify the term.

Having a focused, modest amount of stuff to enjoy has always been the way to go really. I guess it comes with age to some extent as well (not always the case), but like any other experience, adapting / evolving to get the most satisfaction out of the hobby makes far more sense than just buying to keep up, or jumping onto the 'cool' wagon till that gets old. I don't have much, but I'm glad I got it all when I did. This hobby has become an insane affair these days; bang for buck, quality, CS concerns, it's a mine field - & I don't envy the noobs just starting out.

All that said, I don't think I'll be getting this R2 either, I'm just not feeling it. I've peeked into this thread sporadically in recent times, but my interest has pretty much faded. Truth be told, I'm still catching up with some older figure releases that I still really want - & before I get around to those, the newer stuff can wait.

I had him on Flex and just got a SS email with an option to pay in full now and get it shipped immediately. Not sure if that's a normal thing or not because this is my first Flex. Just curious.

SHIPPED!

Monday delivery! WOO-HOO!!!

Mines shipped too. Wish it had of been a Thursday (US time) release as both Snake and Rex who were released on Thursday (last week and the week before respectively) caught the LA-Sydney direct flight meaning a Monday (Sunday US time) delivery for me. I suspect this one will get the dreaded Honolulu stopover and take the full week to arrive as a result. But fingers crossed.

Local Fedex had my last SS package on Tuesday, they held it until Thursday, reason - not yet due for delivery. :lol

They've been a bit funny about that lately. I can pick it up from the depot in Fyswick, but I am paying 30 - 40 bucks. To my door please.

$40 US. That used to be 40 bucks. Now it's about a hundred and three.

Almost $52AU. At least we aren't back to the bad old days of 70 cents in the dollar - yet.

I'm dreading the bill when Raynor comes in the next month or so, I imagine the box will be huge along with the shipping fee.

Mine shipped too! Should be here by next Thursday. Strange I haven't gotten the emails telling me. I had to log in to my account to find out.
