Hey, that's something I wouldn't live with either! I always dread calling Sideshow if I have a problem (I've had maybe 2 in the past 7 years), because I think they're always rolling their eyes at what we deem "problems" with our dollies, and they keep a running tab of how much of a nuisance you are. I definitely get a bad feeling about the whole transaction because even though they have sent me a replacement, they always send a firmly worded email saying that this is the only time they will replace anything for that particular figure, "okay, we'll replace the item this time, but don't even think about asking for another replacement".

What compartment is that, BTW?

The life scanner doesn't stay up? Grrrrrr. I was planning on displaying R2 next to Luke and Tauntaun.

Why would they bother releasing it if the accessories clearly don't work? :cuss

"Oh the pop out accessories don't actually stay out, no big, ship it, I'm sure people won't care."

Dayum, yes that should go back! WTH?

And this pic has me thinking I understand the way the lightsaber door works now..... you depress then slide it over???

Yes, that was one of my particular frustrations. I do not believe it stays up on anyones so don't feel like its just yours.

I don't know how they got it to stick for the photos without dropping a little wedge or something to hold its position. But then good luck getting it back down. Truthfully, I don't even like it -- doesn't look accurate, just looks like a cheap little radar with minimal detail. The coiled wire on the shaft is there but hidden in the hold and its not even painted.

The periscope is much better and holds position.

I was just looking forward to using the life scanner to make him "Hoth R2."

Is there a list of words covered by the swear filter? I just got a warning for using a word that I would have thought was guaranteed to be one of them but popped up in all its glory.

Yeah if I were to get this, the life scanner is the one thing I'd want to have out on a continual basis. Unfortunately that's the one tool that either doesn't look right (cheap looking and not nearly long enough) or function well.

Got mine today and thinking about a refund. This is very poorly made. It looks amazing but 2 of the flaps on the front won't stay closed. Periscope won't stay up :/

Also how does one turn the lights on can't seem to get the head off :/

If you roatate the scanner a little, it stay in position.

Thank for the PM, but yeah I tried that and it doesn't work -- I pulled and twisted and leaned and everything but the little guy won't hold a pose. It works for the larger periscope, but not for the little scanner.

Yours holds, huh?

Got my R2. First impression, I'm afraid to sneeze anywhere in its direction for fear that it might explode. Everything feels like its gonna break if I handle it in just the wrong way, or it might just spontaneously fall apart.

Didn't bother removing anything from the box, not interested in any of the doors/arms/tools/gimmicks. Just took R2 out of the box and put his tray away never to be seen or heard from again.

Overall, its nice. I really like it. Size is good. All the lights work. Nothing to really complain about on mine. Looks decent with the Tama 3PO, but the contrast in weather/clean looks a little odd. It'll look better with Sideshow's 3PO I'm sure. For now I'll display him with Bespin Luke.

Glad yours was problem free, homie. :rock:rock:rock
