I can see all those issues in mine too, but like Rory to much lesser extent. I would've liked a flawless figure, but to put it in perspective, I'm much happier with $160-shipped R2 than - well I've done well to forget how much I'm paying for Ruffalo Han Solo, but it's a lot more. I can see where you're coming from Rory, but I was always buying this for how it looked rather than how it played. I set my expectations to the price point, not to what I'd ideally like (which was a Tamashii version).

Not yet, but I've been reading up on paints used on the OT props. Mr. Sparkle of the RPF has done a great breakdown of R2's many paints and DYKEM brand Steel Blue dye is one I might be tempted to touch up the panels with.

Cool info man, thanks for posting. The blue on my R2 is all over the place. Some heavy with strong black weathering, some is thinly applied and a lighter blue because of it.

Send it back man, you have a load of very poor QC issues. The only thing that's really intended is the silver edging on the eye surround. The badly fitting layers, the dome dents, the badly trimmed edges, all that is poor manufacturing, poor QC.

I regularly revisit my ignore list, and as previously mentioned, there are now only two people on it. That said, it means I have to check posts every now and then to decide whether to modify the list.

Already did. Anyone who can read and check specs and reference can become an authority on anything.

Well this this sux. I am so disgusted with this thing I don't even know if I want another one. And I was really looking forward to R2. This was my first Sideshow purchase since the very first two releases. Can't even remember which those were now. LOL

I'm happy with mine though up close it has similar marks, maybe some not as bad. Seam looks less prominent on mine though. Hard to see on the last one but that's the kind of indent you have, again maybe less prominent here.
EDIT: The indent you can even see on SS product page. And I see other of the similar smaller marks on the silver circle below the dome on other photos.
