I've never seen that either. Really nice with the touch feature. That's crazy. R2 looks to be my new favorite figure. I can't believe how much they've given us for such a reasonable price. Must be the 'goodbye' to the old days pricing. 3PO will be 'hello' to the new times.
Yeah, it's crazy when you think about it. Tons of new casting that will only be applicable to R2 (drink tray, Obi-Wan's table, holographic Leia, etc.), touch activated light, retractable third leg and on and on. I wouldn't have thought it was possible at a $130.00 price point (w/coupon).

Whoa, Cool video! Thanks for posting it. :duff

I admit i didn't mean to post this exact video . Was looking for pic evidence R2 seam was indeed away on SDCC's prototype ans stumbled upon that vid. First time i see it too and the touch and light feature is also a surprise for me. Hopefully it looks as good in hand than it does in this video.

That video is awesome... never saw that either.

Wow - R2 should be in-hand in a month.:yess:

Honestly compared to 3po it looks too small (again)... Somehow all companies underestimate the size of R2.

Too thin as well, so it's not the wheels. Proportions look pretty good, just too small overall. Pixelpiper did a few comparison pictures earlier in the thread that tells the story.

I think we have established before that the designers of these figures (with very few exceptions) sit in some remote location without access to the internet or books or even dvd's (or blu-ray) so they can check these things before hand.
