Ok that's bloody cool. You can pull the little cannisters out of his chest and they light up as you extend them out.

Stuff like this is making me want to get this guy more and more.

Wow, that's really cool. I didn't know rifle lights up. :)

How many of you guys have ordered this figure? Think there is a chance Sideshow would make a regular 12" Raynor figure, minus the marine armor?

I have, and looks like just a handful of others have ordered or are planning to. It was interesting tracking the upward swing of interest and love as the figure was revealed reach it's height at the official pics, and then immediately come plummeting down after the price announcement.

I didn't order from Sideshow, but with the longest FlexPay program, $56.25 over 8 months isn't bad. It's okay if you go without a couple of meals or drinks a month, right? :lol

Okay, it really is quite pricey, but... For me, at least, that "test drive" featurette highlights just how complex the figure is. It'd be really nice if they could lower the price a bit for future releases based on this figure's archetype (not that it'd ever happen), but I understand they need to get their money back for tooling, design, and licensing.

I was going to buy an extra figure to repaint, but I don't know... I would've bought 2 or 3 at $250 but now, I'd feel a bit mental if I did that.

I ordered, and while it is a lot, I already had a few grand set aside this year for StarCraft merchandise(originally Megabloks was supposed to come out with a line of SC toys soon). However with no forward movement on that line and it probably dead in the water, I'm thrilled to at least have something StarCraft and awesome to look towards. Ironic that it's at the opposite end of the scale in terms of size and market, but great all the same.

made all of the animations into gif files. It took some time since I haven't made any for awhile.

No pronation/supination (left/right) movement for ankle? Or they haven't figured that out yet?

That'd be disappointing if it doesn't have it.

Ankles dont pronate or supinate, thats your forearms. Ankles invert and evert :)

Aw. i think its because of how the armor extending to the ankle is designed that limits the movement. for a heavy figure i think its kinda risky also to put those as it could damage the plastic/paintjob (unwanted skidmarks) over time.. maybe if they widen the gaps/areas it could work but would it still be accurate :dunno :lol

I want a regular Jim Raynor figure, dang it! If this does do well somehow think their is any chance of a Kerrigan Zerg Queen to go along with it?

Not a gamer but always loved these kind of bulky suits.
Was gonna get it without thinking but the price man...
Ill wait and see if i can afford it...
Really a shame that sideshow always ship with fedex as i always get custom taxes with them or i would have go the flexpay route.
Also a pain in the *** that you can't ship to an US friend if you're ordering from abroad.
I could have it reshipped by USPS with less chance of being taxed...
First world problems lol

Ugh... I may end up ordering this later on... but I'm afraid this line may be dead soon. Lack of interest due to price means that we may just get Tychus and Raynor... then that's it. Really wanted a hydralisk!

I still have high hope for Zerg units since there are many good units usable for statues. Hydra and Ultra are nice ones to consider. There is actually quite good unofficial Hydra statue sells on ebay right now (very detailed yet very expensive for its size). I think we will eventually get high end statue/figure for all three races in SC.

Google it, they sure do :) . Also had my physical therapist use those exact terms.

I see how the armor can limit that, but they could've worked around it by perhaps increase the sides a little and allowing a ball joint in the ankle to allow that movement.

Watching that promo piece that shows all the features, really made me want to get this guy. And I have no idea who he is.

I don't buy all that talk that this isn't worth the price tag. All the lights and just the sheer mass of this thing tells me that this was a significant investment on Sideshow's part, and I respect their willingness to do something this out of the box.
