what's the difference between a marquette and dio? it seems the line between the two is becoming blurred. i thought a dio had something in besides the figure like the pred 1 dio, and a marqueete was like the pred 1 marqutte figure only just a simple base. but this aliens marquette seems more like a big dio to me. the queen dio could be mistaken for a marquette(that is if the powerloader was not in combination). figure only, very simple base.

I actually prefer the pose on the dio.
Seem's SS didn't put much thought into this one.

Why does sideshow seem to pose all there aliens in crouching position. When it comes to a definitive Alien maquette I'd go with Cinemaquette's representation. This piece is cool though.

Though most of the attention seems to be an the alien warrior, I can't help but imagine how sweet that queen will look next to my aliens dio.

I can hardly wait for Her Majesty.

This is an in-house sculpt and should have been cheaper. I love the Gore Group they are awesome and have produced a great piece but they are not an EFX house like ADi or SWS. I could understand if SWS was involved as they would have direct access to the original maquettes etc. Seems like SS are trying to increase profits.

Really really REALLY wanted this but the pose (rip-off of dio) and size (too small) is not what i had hoped for. I can live with the pose but it's just too small and $800 ($1000+ for me) is too much.

On the bright side, it will make getting the Vader bust easier for me

I'm going to try and pick this up elsewhere. SS's flexi is at the same time as the flexi on the IM 1:2.

Really wanted this but too pricey. Shame, I seem to be in the minority that really like the pose and diorama too.
