Sideshow Bith 'Modal Nodes' Cantina Band

This is only tangenitally related to the Modal Nodes discussion, but I've pre-ordered the Chalmun's Cantina set from my LCS and periodically I check the pics on Sideshow. I've noticed that they've changed the name now to Mos Eisley Cantina - Band Nook. Kind of wondering if they're just trying to re-market it more for the Nodes set or if the "Chalmun's Cantina" moniker was maybe meant to be a different environment. It kinda looks like they may have built it to connect to another piece but not too sure at the same time as the angles are kind of weird if that was their intent. Not sure what the meaning of that damn name change is, lads!

Back to the Nodes... Dammit, have to admit I figured I was immune to their charms or at the most would maybe just get Figrin D'an, but Puay's pics look pretty cool. I like that upcoming set with the seated Node and his instument. Definitely don't want all five but could see getting maybe Figrin and the upcoming set. I was trying to limit my Cantina aliens in case SSC doesn't make any more environments but they sure go together well... Looks like I've talked myself into three!

Nice! Good catch, Glenn. Only thing I wanted previously that was GC eligible was maybe another Cantina set (already have 2, though), but a D'an would be much better, obviously. Only thing is, my card just expired... Next thing I have coming is War Machine SV in late July. If D'an's still around, I'll grab him then.

Yeah, same, being really cheap with these guys, haha. If I get D'an, I'll pick-up that second two pack that's on the way and be happy with three Nodes.

How do the $50.00 gift cards work, btw? Do you have earn them somehow or if you let one expire does SSC knock the next one issued to $50.00?

The gift cards are good for a set amount and that can vary... usually its $15, but sometimes up to and even over $100. But they do eventually expire so you want to be mindful of that when you get one.

The sooner the next set is announced, the sooner I'll make the effort to get these. I'm not in any hurry if Sideshow plans to wait for them to sell through before offering the last two.

I have been lucky as i am an International purchaser it seems every once and a while i get a $25...one expires and the new one is then tacked on.the last one i got was a $50...i WANT the Yoda hut,but the shipping for that would be killer to Australia from Cali....
I think i will go with Dan,especially since he is unique PLUS the other 2 band members are close on his heels.
I also want to order some new stands as well for the older figures that have that nasty C holder...bites into the figures too much.
Will definately jump after Bacara ships next week and a certain IM Avenger promo figure.

Nice to see someone getting some joy from a gift card. I just found the eligible list to be the step before the dumpster out the back of SSC.

And how points and GC's couldn't be combined etc - just too much hassle to then be digging through old unsold stuff at full retail prices.

Many apologies for the confusion! The Edition Size of 1200 for the Bith Band set is correct. 500 was incorrect.
