I was born and raised here, but it's not the same city anymore.

Everything changes... The town I was raised in was a nice little burb, now it makes headlines nationally for all the wrong reasons.

Hey guys, in case you don't realize it, there are only five different instruments, two of which are repeats to create 7 band memebers. There are only going to be 5 band members released unless Sideshow repackages the same figures by different member names. How do I know? I painted the prototypes and none of them were the Holiday Special instruments.

First band member will be in my hands tomorrow, along with the new Sandtrooper.

But are those two instruments only in the Holiday Special or were they actually in the film? I wish there was an official Lucasfilms answer somewhere on this--it's killing me.

I have been going over the pictures at the Cantina resource page. In the holiday special, there is a band member sitting and a metal doohicky that looks like chrome parts from an old car.

If you look at stills from the set used in filming, you can see that thing IS in the film, however, there appears to be more to it. It looks as though there are two boxes on either side of it if you look closly. I also don't think he is sitting.

It looks like that chrome thing is the center piece between two rectangular boxes that have a molding on the front of it. There also appear to be two chrome spheres that look unlike any other fixture in the cantina. At an even height as seen over the shoulders of Doik(1) and F'grin(3) in this pic.

As for the Tall, Bass like object? If it's accurate from the holiday special, it has a different top, because all you see in the film is the very top and it looks different. But still possible.

So my wife got me D'an for my birthday and it arrived yesterday. I'm pretty impressed, but I guess that's becoming the norm with SSs cantina alien offerings. D'an, Greedo and Hammerhead look AWESOME together.

Great pic Flo! This is a tough one, it's a great figure but I don't know if I am in for the long haul. Also which LEGO set is that?

D'an came out great! I can't commit to the whole band, and I can just get 1 or some.

I am getting the whole band in minibust from Gentle Giant. Gonna take a few years at the rate they go. But the quality is still great

That's exactly what I needed pointed out to me! It has been decided then, I am going to give sculpting and casting a go with these instruments!

Just the little Snowtrooper set... My wife always buys me those little troop builder sets for Christmas or my birthday... Either Clones or Stormtroopers, for the most part.

Eventually received mine today.

Not too bad, I'm happy with him. Even if the sound of the knees is a little bit strange ! I'm wondering if I will take the full orchestra or not. May be I'd better save my money (and room) to buy a Dewback !

Picked him up today--- Impressive sculpt and he looks great playing behind Greedo-- Definitely think I'll have to get the cantina environment.
