Here's the Slayer! I must say it photographed pretty well, but what a pain in the butt. I did the best I could and hope you all enjoy.

Great pics everyone - thanks for sharing. Even though I have my own it is good to see other peoples. I don't know whether to try taking some of mine sometime or not lol. :p

Can I just ask, does anyone else have the problem of her left foot not touching the vamp's arm or is that just me so far?

Great shots, Chap.
Hmmm, really thinking of sending mine back. The more pics of others' that I see the more the slight lazy eye on mine bugs me.

Thanks! That's one thing I will say I'm fortunate about. No lazy eye apparent on mine. The paint apps are far from perfect though.

There may be a slight gap on mine because I didn't want to push it all the way down, for fear of scratching the base. Overall though, it sits pretty flush.

Hi all,

Here are a few of Faith, a slight lazy eye on mine as well and a bit sloppy around the eyes but I think I can live with it. Or maybe not. I am already in the process of returning something else to Sideshow, this one would be a replacement, but what are the guarantees you will get a better piece. Lately, these quality issues with Sideshow are starting to pile up.

You know from some angles, it doesn't exactly look like Faith to me, I don't know if it's just the photographs aren't depicting her properly, or the paint apps, but it seems off to me in some angles.

To me, she looks like a wax figurine and staring at her face really creeps me out after a few seconds. She looks kind of inhuman to me.

The preview pics were awesome though..

Yeah, I just took a closer look at mine, and neither of her feet completely connect with the base. Only the heel of the left foot connects. The right foot completely hovers.
Between this and the lazy eye, I'm next to positive that I will be returning mine after all. I'm not even going to go for a replacement since I don't plan on keeping up with the Buffy line anymore.
I've already decided to eat the NRD for the Spike statue. I cancelled him earlier today.

Sorry to hear that - that's a shame but I can see why you think it might be the best option. I hope the return isn't too complicated if you do go ahead with it.

It seems a shame that there is such quality variations in this kind of thing. I think I got reasonably lucky with mine but for something like this it should be top quality across the board really. Sad for such a good sculpt and design - makes me glad that I was not considering going for any others though because it got a bit stressful worrying about how she would turn out.

The quality has gone to the crapper but I honestly believe Sideshow hears us and is going to work on it. Let's not lose the Faith...

It may not be this batch of statues, or the next. But I know they wont let this go on, or it will ruin their reputation.

If we don't see another company presenting itself as a plausible alternative to SS, I don't see SS changing its ways all that much. Years ago, Bowen was considered by many to be THE statue company in the industry. When it started raising its prices and releasing substandard product, lots of people, including myself, jumped ship to SS because we felt SS gave us more for our money. It took years for Bowen to get some of its numbers back e.g. better looking product. We need another company to give SS a run for its money, otherwise, they have collectors right where they want them.

Fans want to spend their money. It's a fix. Ask any addict, even a lousy high it better than no high at all. Dealers typically up their game when there's new competition inching into their turf. Otherwise, why bother? It's human nature to coast whenever able.

People, SS needs to know from us that this isn't going to fly with us. We as customers shouldn't accept statues that were not as solicited. Lazy eyes, paint imperfections, etc should be a no brainer for a return. I for one wish Faith looked as she did in the SS solicit and accepting anything less just tells them its ok to accept sub standard products.

The problem with that thinking is that this has been the pattern for some time. I can't remember the last Sideshow statue I've gotten I've been happy with out of the box. Maybe Wolverine? Off the top of my head, I've had mild to severe paint or other quality issues with:

T-800 Arnold PF
Indiana Jones ROTLA PF
Jack Sparrow PF
Cyclops PF
Rogue PF (this one really stunk and is in the process of being replaced)
Faith (sent pictures to SS and took down my early photos until that's resolved)

And honestly, pictures I've seen of Willow leave me unimpressed with the face paint (I am bordering on troll status with complaints of the body already but ironically they seemed to have painted Willow's body and accessories well).

The Rogue disaster has led me to not order Colossus which will likely lead me to sell the X-Men I already bought. I have no other SS items on preorder except for Spike, Angel (rewards points) and Boba Fett. Hard to mess up an armored figure so no worries there, but who knows with Spike and Angel.

My advice to all: even if your statue is "okay" and you can live with it, send feedback to SS. You don't, they'll think this is acceptable for the next piece, and the one after, etc. etc.

Out of the box, in the past year, I was very pleased with the Vlad PF ex, the Black Cat PF Ex, just to name a couple. Sadly, the percentage of returns has risen. However, it generally ends with me being happy. I just wish I didn't have to deal with the returns dept as much as I have had to in the past 2 years.

To be fair, I've cut back on my collecting by at least 80% these past years, so I've canceled a lot of statues and haven't had the opportunity to be disappointed. Besides Buffy, the Jim Lee X-Men were the only other line I've been interested in. Rogue really spooked me, reinforced I was right about canceling so much. I still buy stuff, but it's Hot Toys, and rarely through SS. I used to get one or two packages a month from SS. Now it's more like 3 or 4 a year.

I cut my purchases quite a bit too. However, there are good reasons for that: 1) How many Spiderman, Hulk, Alien and Predator statues do I need? 2) Rising costs are compelling me to be more selective and 3) 2011 has likely been the most lackluster year of releases I have seen in years. 2010 was much better. I'm hoping the DC era of Sideshow reaches its full potential.

I guess I am just willing to give Sideshow the benefit of the doubt. I believe they will work on fixing this issue. :D

Mine has a few minor flaws to the hands and maybe a slight lazy eye problem. Also, the feet don't touch the base completely like others have stated. I will take pics tomorrow in natural light and try to post them tomorrow as well.

Wow, can someone take a pic of this foot/base issue? I want to see what the problem is.

On mine, the peg doesn't fit completely in the base. Which causes a small gap or lift between the feet and the base. I could fix it by using the dremel tool to notch out the hole a little more where the peg fits in, but I don't know if I want to go that route yet. Also, I don't know how thin the polystone is either.
