Well, it was supposed to arrive today. The info still says in transit but my fedex guy is lazy. He never brings packages to my door. He always says no one is home and takes them directly to the front office. Front office is now closed so I'm sure the driver will just state I'm not here and he will set it for re delivery. Fedex usually comes before 3. Of course today is the day he comes after business hours. So annoying.

Yep. Same here on many statues. At least now ups now I use the sign consent to leave my box at the door. Otherwise they will make pick drive 30mins each way to the ups center to pick it up.
 
Here's a couple pics to show the torso. After some more inspection there's also a couple of red dots on his arms where it looks like they botched the paint job.

I'd take pics of my base but to be honest I don't think they'd even show up.

Also on further inspection, I don't think his arms were molded separately and glued on. It looks like he has seams on the tops and sides but looking in his pot area, no seam.
 
I called fedex to ensure I received it. It's beautiful. There is a but...on his shoulder of the chicken arm, there is a dark black scorch mark. Looks like a burn Mark. Anyone else have that problem?

Sorry, but for the $$ I paid for this I expect a better job. I'm not mad, but Sideshow better own up and replace it.

Yeah I hear ya. I'm hoping to get a replacement hand and comic head. The left eye has too much grey shading in it making it look like he's got one looking away. Frustrating.
 
I would not mind those issues. As long as it's not cracked or broken which would be fine with me. I would be surprise if SS replaces those issues when they don't even replace broken parts on my past statues.

Maybe a little flirting is required, at least to save you those trips the the FedEx office, just sayin'... :D

You're kidding me right? I work too hard for my money to throw it away on statues that I"m not 100% satisfied with. If I can find these just by giving it a quick once over there's no way I'll be able to put this on my shelf for display. If Sideshow isn't going to resolve it I'll get it resolved through my credit card company.

I would not settle either if I had those same issues. It may seem trivial to some but in the end if it is reasonably noticeable then you deserve to either get an acceptable exchange or a refund imo.

As you said these are expensive statues and while they are hand painted there have been several examples shown from other collectors that have this piece in hand that you can get a piece with better paint apps and I would pursue an exchange if I were in this situation.
 
It's worth a try. Though you'll probably get the generic answer "each piece is hand painted yatta yatta yatta After checking our inventory we don't have a replacement that will be better than what you already have".

It's a minor flaw.

The thing about it is your issue for a replacement would require an entire body. They don't just swap em. They'd require you to destroy the piece you already have if they were going to send you a replacement and I don't see them asking you to do that with a minor paint flaw. I think you'll be offered partial cash refund or SS credit if you choose to keep it or return for full refund if you're not satisfied.
 
But then breaking it is risky too because they may sell out and then you're right back where you started. It never ends with them. Im in the middle of trying to exchange my Freddy PF but seeing that they just sold out, Guess I'm screwed whats new. I need a new Deadpool head and chicken hand but they may not have any and then. . . screwed again. Sorry to hear about everyone's issues. I feel for ya
