Also the mask is not functional, so I suppose you could use the helmet stand whether you are using the reveal or the masked version on the body.

I'm buying this regardless... but the sculpt, at least from that angle, doesn't look like Sebastian Shaw at all. I know the light is dim, but... I'm a sculptural portrait artist; seeing a face from quarter angle is nothing new to me. I just don't see Shaw there. On the bright side, at least it's not Hayden!

Has it been said or confirmed that the helmet with stand is a second set? Or is it a place to display the helmet when you want to display the figure unmasked? (Why would anyone do this!!!)
From the pictures I have seen I cannot relate to the unmasked head as I have never seen Vader unmasked, angry face and on his feet before. So I will put this down for "Expanded Universe". Waste IMO. I don't care for the unmasked head unless it is the genuine "Tell your sister you were right" head. Something I could display on the side.
I do hope we get the background diorama for this "deluxe" figure.

"Tell your sister you were right" is a genuine "Sebastian Shaw" head. Basically to capture that essence of that part of the movie.
Anything else is creative freedom. I not a fan of paying $250 for something I have never seen in a ESB or ROTJ picture.

SS better put up or shut up at that price. There can be no loose bodies and lazy eyes. I can tolerate that stuff on $135 Joes, as I make them my own. But not on a figure than will go from the box to the shelf.

For $250, the helmet/dome must fit, the body suit should fit (why so baggy), and the light up features need to be actually cool

I'm am going to make the assumption that when Hot Toys Batman Returns figures are release they will be $300. So that is $600 (Batman & Penguin) I have put away (money is in the bank waiting). Vader is now $250 which I will spend (also I the bank). When prices for 1/6 figures go up it makes it difficult to purchase others second tier figures you might want - ie AVP Scar Predator etc.

I braced myself to pull up the archived Vader PF thinking that it might have retailed for less than this. I was happy to see that it was $350 back in the day. Sideshow Collectibles, charging a premium for Darth Vader since 2004.

He is a sideshow star wars release. He is not gonna sell out for months. I'm anticipating an ex edition size of 1500 or more. And a regular release in excess of 3000 units.

I noticed that in ESB Bespin Luke never looked up and to the right. So I positioned the PERS on my HT Luke that way. Free EU Luke!
