I'm guessing that the issue with FP payment pushing is probably part of an automated system. When it comes time for the final FP, if the item is not "in stock" on their system, the payment gets pushed out. And because of that push out, shipment is delayed. I don't think for a second SSC are trying to piss anyone off on purpose.

With regards to messed up helmets, I'm kind of hoping mine might need replacement. It definitely sounds twisted, but hear me out. This way I get to destroy one which will let me see very closely and in person how it goes together - which then allows me to confidently take apart the new one for modding without breakage. :)

That may be the case.

I'm hoping mine doesn't have any QC issues. It's sounds like a good chunk of them do though. Which is unfortunate.

I don't want to start a Flex Pay discussion, but using Flex Pay on a pre-order is NEVER a good idea. If you want the item right away, order with full payment at shipment time and save the money yourself in a jar or in the bank......."

This is how I do it with everything. To this day I haven't felt the need to flex pay anything. It just feels better to pay in whole and get it over with. I was once told by a flex payer that its easier for them to flex because they are bad at saving money, they always spend it. In that respect I understood where they were coming from. I don't know if that's true for everyone....

Got my replacement head. Yoda helped with destroying the old one.

I have a feeling it's the packing. The plastic cover has a squared indention at the snout of the mask to prevent it from coming in contact with the mask. If the head isn't placed in all the way I could see the plastic pushing on the tusk. I have a feeling that the reason it's the left tusk is because all the head were pushed in the same way.

I highly recommend everyone look over their Vader carefully. I thought my only issue was the cape, but on a better second inspection found that the left tusk was broken. It's funny how you miss those things that are staring you right in the face. I'm really hoping SS can replace it.

That sucks. Was the broken tusk in the box?
 
With seemingly everyone asking for replacements, I hope they don't run out before they decide to frigging ship mine. Had I known this was going to be an issue I would have asked my flex to be bumped up a damn week.
 
I think they'll be shipping Vader for a long time yet, so I wouldn't worry about running out of parts any time soon. In addition to the Exclusive version there's also the regular version, and I'd like to think SSC is smart enough to keep this guy selling throughout the year.

I would assume, but I haven't found it. Unless it was broken prior to being packed which I don't believe it to be. It so small I don't know if I would be able to glue it back on if I did find it. I would think that those that glue it back on used tweezers and some magnification.
 
looks like many here are crying a river..lol. with good reason i put my order that sunday (JAN. 6) before it was avaliable, was charged on MONDAY and shipped that tuesday. got it this past tuesday. i think flex pay folks are getting shafted FOR SURE!!

I am not a flex payer on this figure and I ordered on the first day it went up for pre order. Mine shipped out yesterday. I also never got a reply from sideshow for the email I send out over a week ago.
 
I spoke with sideshow rep yesterday and said would ship friday.STILL No ship notice and still processing ,WTF dont lie to me just tell me when he's shipping Annoying wish would just ship already ,I guess monday hopefully.
 
Well SS told me yesterday that they would ship out early Monday. So I'm guessing some or most of you will have luck come Monday. I was lucky enough that they shipped mine out yesterday. BTW Great Yoda pic Evilface!

I got the shipping soon (72hrs/3 days) notice on Wed. The 3rd day being Sat. when I assume they don't ship, would make it Mon. So that's probably right, or at least that's what I'll tell myself to get through the weekend. :lol
 
Placed my order on the 9th and got my tracking number on the 15th. Should be here Tuesday.

Don't know if it matters, but I used PayPal.
