The thing is the arms on the ANH Vader are actually the same size more or less. It's the skin tight suit that that is bringing attention to the arms, those massive gloves don't help either. You didn't hear anyone compaining about skinny arms on the ANH Vader.

Here's the new Vader in the old suit.

I really wished they would have gone with the same material and cut.

But yeah, if you're going to use the new suit those arms need padding. I did mine and it looks good.

Awesome pics, Fiend; ANH Vader is still an incredible figure even without all of the bells and whistles of the ESB version. It does seem to be more to do with the tailoring of the suit and how wide the gloves are on new Vader that make the arms look so thin. The gloves are wider but I'm guessing that is to increase the flexibility at the wrists. Noble intentions.

Looking great! Good job.

Best,

So I just got my Vader. I was under the impression that this came with batteries. None of the lights work out of the box. Do I need to order special batteries for this now? And of course it came with no instruction manual smh.

You need to open the battery compartments and remove the plastic tabs that are preventing the batteries from forming a circuit. Possible it came with dead batteries, also, but seems unlikely.
