Arm gauntlets fixed. That was really bothering me.

Moving Han from the Pro 1.0 onto a narrow shoulder makes him exactly the same height.

It seems to be the gigantic ankle ball joints in the Hoth boots that give him the extra height - which you lose when you take them out and replace them with HT style ankle pegs.

I don't have any spare long HT pegs, but I don't think it's going to make much difference.

However...

Out of the box Pro 1.0 Hoth Han is taller than my Pro 1.0 Luke by quite a bit. The bottom of Han's nose is just above the edge of Luke's cap peak.

One thing no one has done yet is measure/compare these latest 1.0 and 1.1 bodies against each other. From what you've discovered, it sounds like they may both be the same height, not including ankles, which could explain SS's willingness to use them interchangeably. But nothing explains the lack of consistency - surely it would just be easier to produce a big batch of one body?

I'm completely confused at the moment. :lol

Just spent ages trying to get an ankle joint out after only half of it popped out, leaving the peg part buried in the boot.

Then I discovered changing bodies was a waste of time, so spent another age getting the ankle joint re-=assembled inside the boot.

Luckily hot water makes the boots very soft. At first I was afraid they would rip but they're actually very pliable.

Next I'm going to try boots and head on the 1.1...

As Columbo used to say, just one more thing: Han's Pro 1.0 came with the long neck of the 1.2. So there's a bit more height.

Wow, more layers of mystery. I'm going to concern myself with only a few things when Han arrives and when I later get Luke. Overall height of each figure, general human appearance (proportions, including arm length) and articulation. I'd like to avoid body swapping if possible. ;)

Stripped Luke' s 1.1 and Han's 1.0 down.

And Han has one leg longer than other. :cuckoo:

The shin of his right leg isn't in as far as the left, and doesn't want to budge. This probably solves the mystery of the height.

If I could pull the left one out as far and leave it there he'd be okay.

I can confirm that Han no. 2, whose legs were both fully pushed in, is slightly shorter than Luke's 1.1.

I'm going to swap one of the Hans onto the 1.1.

Hey its me.

I couldn't be happier with my Hoth Han ( a few issues aside), but the added bonus of being able to make a Bespin Han figure is pure bliss. This figure was almost a Sideshow DX release. We all whine and complain about Sideshow from time to time. Coupled with the a fantastic portrait head sculpt, the fact that they threw in the Bespin jacket and undershirt was a homer. If you guys are reading this thank you Sideshow!

I just stole your pose.:lol I found the perfect hands to do it with - and that pose is a keeper. I also tilted his head to the side a little.

He looks great next to my new Luke Bespin on the narrow slim body (using SSC hatless Hoth head, spare HT outfit.) They are exactly the right relative heights.

Received my Hoth Luke body from TA today. I had my bashed Han on a TTL body and I have to say, I like the SS Pro 1.1 a little better (at least with this outfit). It seems to fill it out lot better. Only problem is, I don't have any feet for it, so the pants are scrooching up above the boots a bit. Still digging this body and can't wait to pick up my Hoth Han tomorrow so I can plop the head on here:

I'll be swapping out the shirt and jacket as well.

If you are using the Pro Ankle pegs the easiest option for feet is ones from a Buck Body. I harvested all of the ones when I was body swapping a couple of years ago and kept them for that purpose. If you have a set of Buck feet just get them loosened up with hot water and they will pop right on. They will not go on if they are at room temperature.

Nice, looks great!

I did not compare ankles... but my Luke came on a 1.1 and Han (Blue coat) came on a 1.0. The 1.0 is definitely shorter than the 1.1; I did place them next to one another. However, when Han was on the stock body and Luke on a 1.0 Han did seem taller :huh Which is why I initially thought mine was a 1.1 :lol

I will say this, the new 1.0 body from Han is the best one I've ever owned... it's not a pretty body, but it's a solid option if you don't want to drop on a HT slim and what a bit more bulk to the figure.

So at the end of the day I just swapped the bodies between Luke and Han, then all was right with the world.

I think he look taller then your luke on a 1.0 is because it seems Han has a longer then normal neck.

That might be it, although I could have sworn Luke had a giraffe neck as well... but Han's might be even longer.

Either way after the swap Han is clearly (but not ridiculously) taller than Luke and it didn't cost me anything out of pocket to make it happen. Still a head scratcher from Sideshow, but I think the universe would implode if there wasn't at least one wtf aspect to every release :lol

I have discussed this previously, but i am like that with my figures because i'm reviewing them. I hope things to a higher standard and i should be able to manhandle something and the figure should be able to withstand it. I am not OVERLY excessive as i can feel the limits on each figure, but i don't handle these with kid gloves as my way of trying to convey somethings durability.

I've seen you post that several times, and I'm not sure I can follow that logic. I don't think the mentality should be that these are more durable because they are expensive, but in fact the very opposite. These are really expensive and quite fragile, and in essence not technically "toys" because they're not meant to be played with, and they're not really made for durability either.

Not starting an argument BTW, so I hope you don't take offense; just sharing my view. I watched and enjoyed many of your vids, but like Lu, rough housing goes right thru me. When I see Sean Long man-handle his figs, I squirm in my seat :lol

:lecture Exactly. I didn't mean to offend you and I certainly didn't mean my comment as an insult! But yeah, Sideshow, and HT for that matter, aren't touting these figures as rough and tumble toys, so it's not like there is a need to put these figures through their paces in order to test that claim. It just hurts seeing these figures, and any toys or anything at all for that matter, being handled a bit roughly! Like I said, no offense intended!

And yep, Sean is the worst. He has the unique talent of making the most beautiful and expensive figure look like a cheap dime store toy.

Spent ages so far faffing about with bodies, and with very little to show for it . :lol

I couldn't shorten the left leg on Han Pro 1.0 no. 1. Neither hot water nor hairdryer would allow the joint above the knee to shift. However, I was able to pull the left leg down one notch below the knee. So now both legs are the same length, and the body is a little taller.

Han no. 2 is on Luke's 1.1. But before embarking on the Hoth outfits I have the Bespin ready and awaiting his new boots:

I'm loving all the new Bespin Hans that are coming out of this! But what the what is up with Sideshow and the different bodies for the same figure?!?:gah:
