So blue or brown, really liking luke and han though haven't pulled the trigger, I like the blue and know it appeared blue on screen but know the brown is accurate to the prop arghhhh decisions

I was suprised how the fur trimming looked in person, in photos it looked pretty awful but in person it looked good.

Any tips on properly tying the scarf? When I undressed Han I didn't pay attention to how it was tied and now it doesn't look right :lol

Finally got Han and I'm very happy with it except I got the 1.0 body with the longer neck. It does look okay when he's all suited up, but you can see how short the torso is when you take the coat off. Took off the Bespin jacket and it helps a lot with how the coat fits.

Off to lunch now but I'll try and take some pictures today and write some more about him later. But overall I'm very happy with the figure.

Is it easy to swap the necks on these? Just boil and pop? I switched the Han/Luke bodies but they're still about the same height.
I think Luke looked fine on the 1.1, though the vest was really tight and the snaps were being pulled (not happening on the 1.0). I think Han, however, is much improved on the 1.1. Upper body looks better.

Yes, that's the easiest method. I've been boiling and popping lots of boots and body parts over the last two days!

Fill a mug with boiling water and dunk him neck first in it and wait about a minute. Then with an oven glove it's easy to pull the neck off.

There's some dark arts at work with these figures. None of it really makes any sense! :lol

^^thank you. Maybe I'll give it a go this weekend. I swapped the bodies upon immediately receiving Han, then wasn't crazy about the 1.0 on Luke and switched them back, then realized the 1.1 was much better on Han than the 1.0 so swapped them back again. Ha! I'm not sure who mentioned this but my 1.0 came with a shorter left leg too, seemed to be something weird at the hip joint. Definitely some dark arts indeed.

Mine had a longer right leg. The left one had all the joints seated correctly, but the right knee was pulled out and stuck fast. Pulling the left shin down evened them up and left him permanently taller!

It seems like the easiest fix is to just get at least one Tauntaun, put one of the figures on it and forget about any body swaps.

Arm gauntlets fixed. That was really bothering me.

This is the pose I went with also

Once again, no complaints aside from the antennae not fitting snugly

It's funny, regardless of what body they're on they still look really good. I just assumed Han was on a 1.1 as his proportions looked good out of the box, but then it turned out it was a shorter body :lol

And I had a similar experience with the height... Luke on a 1.0 was shorter than Han on his 1.0, and not just the head height, his shoulders were higher than Luke :huh It is all very odd :lol

Yeah, if you pull all the fur out and really work with it, it can look pretty good. In the earlier pics it almost looked like straw. Giving it a brush to even it out before you futz does seem to help. Not that I brush dolls.:lol

Yeah, it is really weird given they have the same boots and headgear. Even stranger, laid side by side the 1.0 and 1.1 seemed the same height, but I know they aren't. But I've noticed this before that body heights can depend on the way the joints are oriented/sitting and a figure can vary in height by a fair amount just due to the way you futz the body.

I almost have my Han Hoth looking the way I want. This is the figure we should have got back in the good ol' year of 1980.

I've done hoth now, starting to look at bit clustered lol
Unless hot toys do them further down the line

Is that a pro type? What color is that coat?

It's a Kenner 1.0 body with blue coat. Belt and pants from 1990s Hasbro Han Hoth, boots from 1990s Hasbro Bespin Luke (dyed), Goggles from Six Million Dollar Man and finally Scarf from the NEW Sideshow Han Hoth :)

For anyone bothered as much as I was about how loose the leg strap is...but you can't quite bring yourself to cutting and re-gluing it...they this simple trick first...

1) Get you a twisty tie from any other figure you may have laying around
2) Take the blaster out of the holster....put the tip of the twisty tie up from the bottom and catch the strap as it loop inside the holder bottom
3) Pull the slack down through the bottom just a snig.....
4) clip off the extra length until you have just enough to be a brace to keep the slack snug...but not enough to show

That's it. You can decide for yourself it if looks good or not.....

For what it's worth.....
