No, unfortunately there's been no word on that. All things considered, including how many people likely attended SDCC, show coverage, at least for toys/collectibles was IMO, abysmal.

I have the same feeling about the show coverage. Long gone are the years where 3 or 4 sites had multiple pics of the same item from all possible different angles and included those little information tags too.

Now, taking Hasbro Star Wars line as an exemple, it seems we only got a hand full of pics, most focusing on more than one fig/item and often lacking information to help identify what subline they are from.

It seems as if the downtime hitting this brand kind of put reporters in a lazy mood.

So NOTHING ready for pre-order anytime soon? Wow. I remember the days of Comic Con where they would preview Jabba and you could pre-order right away. Looks like we will be lucky to have a PO by Comic Con 2014 to arrive in homes sometime 2015. Fail.

My biggest pet peeve about Sideshow...

everything shown should of had a pre-order available

With Yoda-Jedi master, Commander Wolffe, Darth Malgus, all 4 DeluXe Clones, Darth Vader, Boba Fett-prototype and Echo-Five 2 pack all planned to hit before next march, i'm not in a hurry to PO another 12".
Actually, i could live at least a couple more months before they go up. It's not like an earlier PO could mean we'd get the figure(s) sooner.

1. The Luke Skywalker comes with two heads, a regular version with non-removable cowl and a battle damaged version.

2. The Han Solo will come with his correct Blue jacket and his infamous Brown jacket. He will also come with his Echo Base hairstyle and a non-removable headgear version.

3. There will be two Tauntaun heads in the set allowing collectors to choose between Luke or Han's beast.

Fantastic!!! :rock

I attended the Star Wars Collectibles panel and NONE of the above except for the two heads included with the Taun Taun was discussed, not sure where they got that info... Maybe they had an interview with Sideshow because no one was talking about any details at the booth whatsoever when I asked.

No release dates or dates of any kind were discussed, no prices either.
They did say that they are "Trying to put sounds" in the probe droid.

General Grievous has either two or four arm configurations, not sure if the arms actually snap together into two hands or are actual swap outs. Supposedly has great articulation so he can hunch over or be put into the various positions from the movie aside from when he scuttles around like a crab (which I thought looked dumb anyways).. comes with TWO light sabers and a Magna Electro Staff and several Light saber hilts in his cape.. the version shown is the production product, not a proto-type but what we will get when it ships.

The panel was pretty disappointing in terms of info handed out... they spent a lot of time on the new Vader (supposedly all new body standing 13" tall) and on Commander Wolf and white Fett. They did not show ANY images of the Probe Droid and only one shot of Han and Luke on their Taun Tauns (which is the shot in this thread). That is it... They said they have a lot of plans with their "current love of all things Hoth".

In the question and answer section a number of people asked about SSC stuff including:

Q will we see more stuff from the Clone Wars animated show?
A yes, more trooper characters like Wolf and Echos an Fives

I was hoping for Jedi characters more. Anyone who said they love clones got a "I love you" from the SSC guy so expect some more clones coming out.

Q will we see some more stuff from the expanded universe?
A yes definitely, (no specifics given...)

Overall it was a super vague and fairly disappointing that they couldn't give us more shots of the figures themselves. They did NOT discuss head swaps other than the Taun Tauns.

VERY interesting info - and by interesting I mean potentially troubling.

Rebelscum was quite specific in mentioning precisely who was hosting and speaking at the panel.

rebelscum.com said:
The Star Wars: Collectibles Update panel is being hosted by Chris Spitale of Lucas Licensing. The companies taking part are Gentle Giant Studios, eFX Collectibles, Kotobukiya, and Sideshow Collectibles.

For Sideshow they credit Brant Bridges for the information, which in its entirety is as follows:

There a 1:6 scale Commander Wolffe coming soon (now up for pre-order).

There is an Echo and Fives set coming soon (now up for pre-order).

The Deluxe Darth Vader 1:6 scale figure has a new body with a light up chest box that blinks which runs on a sequence.

The 1:6 scale General Grievous comes with four sets of arms and four lightsabers.

There is a 1:6 scale Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Tauntaun and Probe Droid coming:

The Luke Skywalker comes with two heads, a regular version with non-removable cowl and a battle damaged version.

The Han Solo will come with his correct Brown jacket and his infamous Blue jacket. He will also come with his Echo Base hairstyle and a non-removable headgear version.

The Tauntaun will come with two heads allowing collectors to choose between Luke or Han's beast.

The Probe Droid will come with sounds, lights and be featured on a snow-drift base.

The 1:4 scale Premium Format C-3PO & R2-D2 statue will be shipping soon.

The 1:2 scale Obi-Wan Kenobi statue has a revised portrait.

They've just revealed a life-size Yoda consisting of fabric clothes and realistic hair. His hands will be posed one on top of the other resting on his gimer stick.

Like I said, the panel itself left much to be desired.. no idea who the second guy is so they must have gotten a press release with more info.

Anyways, here are links to the pictures I took, they are pretty big so you can zoom into them and look at the details. The cases are hard to shoot through though so I apologize, I wanted them to be better yet.

Here is Han and Luke and Probe droid:

Interesting indeed. Is it possible Rebelscum spoke to Sideshow separately, away from the panel, and got additional info that way?

Han looks great in those pictures. Like Luke's arms, his legs might need a bit of padding but that's about it. Although I loved the Hoth sequence as a kid, I never felt compelled to pick-up any of the figures at the time (found them kind of boring because they were so 'bundled-up') but this preview has made me want to get all four releases (with Probot being the most important).

^ Ditto.

I didn't really have any interest in a TaunTaun but Luke looks fantastic up there on him. It will make for a really interesting display.

The discussion about the jacket color rinds me of that scene from Sleeping Beauty.

not trying to derail this thread, but I don't think I need to open a new one either. I just got a custom Han for a HT body and the ball joint is really tight when putting on the head. To all you who customize and swap parts, is there a trick I can do to make his head sit better on the body?

e-fx did it right... they enlightened... SST simply reiterated. if there is no low down at SDCC, then where?
