He can... but I did find it tricky to find the sweet spot as he would tend to lean forward or back a smidge and then topple. I think if I can tighten the fit of his boots on the ankle peg it will solve the issue.

Ordered.

Just got my exclusive because I like a variety of guns on display, and this rifle looks very cool. Great figure. Can't wait to get those upcoming Hot Toys Snowtroopers to go with him and the Probe Droid. I just wish they would have included either of the Han or Luke Hoth snow accessories for the base. Plain black is sort of insulting.

Yeah that rifle is really one of the best EX accessories SSC has ever done. I love the gloss/matte finish combo and the folding stock works great.

I'm using the snow wedge that came with Luke, since he on the tauntaun in my display. But I agree...would've been nice if they'd included one with this figure.

Just waiting on these parts to arrive from TA and I'll have my next OT trooper. I only buy OT figures so its been slim pickings for a while.

Gotta love these OT troopers.

Looks good mate.
Thanks Chaka...I just can't justify the high prices from Sideshow for a figure that's essentially just 5 parts from TA. The helmet, chest armour and hoses are one part, boots, two gloves and then the suit.

Me either. I did exactly the same thing.

The body I used was a knock off narrow shoulder body from eBay. It cost about €13. All the parts from TA cost about €140 / $155 after tax and shipping to me in Ireland. The ATAT pilot from Sideshow works out at €280 / $311 after tax and shipping.
I saved 50% of the cost.

Wow, that's great, I guess the 50% is worth the exclusive rifle and the stand with the box lol. And the body might be better in yours

It is a pretty awesome rifle though - one of the best EX's they've done, and a great "practical" match to the vintage one.

For me it works out (WITH $25 coupon, if it becomes eligible in time, which is likely) only about $60 more for the EX shipped from SSC versus loose shipped from TA, and the ability to resell the actual/complete boxed fig at some point if necessary vs a custom fig loose, plus the EX rifle, does make it a tougher decision.

For me, the Biker Scout sniper rifle and the ATAT driver rifle are probably the only two EX rifles that really HAVE to be displayed with the fig - the Snowie or TIE pilot EX weapons I never liked all that much. If that EX rifle didn't come out so well this would be a no-brainer.:gah:

Not for me

If it wasn't for Kenner, ATAT drivers would have been a barely glimpsed third of a helmet (slightly out of focus,) and a wide back view. It was the Kenner card artwork that got the word out back in the day before the internet.

Just like so, so many SW characters (some of which are barely seen in the movies,) Kenner popularized these guys. Seriously - where else could you see a full pic of an ATAT driver helmet/torso, or how could you even know what the rest of the ATAT outfit looked like? Not without Kenner you didn't.

You... you made the Kenner driver sad with your lack of gratitude. :lecture

I do like the Exclusive Blaster but I just couldn't justify the extra €140 for it.
