Got mine in on Monday, and I'm very impressed. The figure (like the Tie Pilot) is very well done and feels solid. The body doesn't have any looseness and the overall proportions look great. I also love the exclusive blaster... first of all it being a Kenner blaster will always win me over; but it's very well made and has a folding stock that I did not expect.

Love the material they used for the hoses, they are very easy to work with and don't push the helmet out of alignment.

Only issue I have is the boots on mine pop off very easily and the balls of the ankle don't really sit in them well. Because of this I think it's hard to get his center of gravity. I'm wondering if wrapping the ankles to make the fit tighter might help? But aside from that nit he's a hell of a figure and shows what Sideshow can do if they get their **** together.

And in case you're curious how he stacks up the Marmit; here's a side-by-side. The Marmit suit as been weathered a bit and I repainted the boots and swapped him onto a Solider Story Body, but the rest is stock. And while the Marmit is great for the time, it's really no comparison between the two.

I got mine today... I'm so glad to finally have a 1/6th scale AT-AT Driver... I've been waiting on this one as long as I've been waiting on T1 Kyle Reese. (Since I started collecting these)

Great shot!

The thing that bugs me though about the two together are that the Imperial insignia on the helmet are note the same size (much bigger on the Tie Pilot) and the hoses also seem a lot thicker on the Tie Pilot. Nitpicking.

The hoses on the TIE Pilot and the ATAT driver are actually different kinds (the TIE pilot's are a little thicker and have less ribs) - what SSC has done is correct.

With the emblems, it's a bit of both - the ATAT's are just a whisker undersized and the TIE pilot's a whisker oversized, but both are pretty close. Side by side makes it more noticeable, but apart you can't really pick it.

Both the SSC TIE and ATAT helmets have the mohawk front off in several ways, but the most noticeable inaccuracies on the SSC driver helmet (other than the ear nibs left on from TIE reuse) are the "chin" sculpt noticeably too pinched/narrow, eye lenses a bit too pointed/angular, mouth black paint too narrow and the temple pipes are inaccurate - these were actually correct in the proto but for some reason were changed. It's still a stellar effort by SSC - probably one of, if not THE, best armored figure they've ever done. Really lovely figure overall.:clap

Keep the pics coming, peeps!

Fun shots, GB....Glad to see someone is enjoying this figure as much as I am.

And yes, keep those pictures coming!

Can this guy stand on his own? I plan to put him in a legend studio case - I have 10 others in legend studio cases and none of them use the stand. On the very rare occasion (actually has never happened) if one falls over, it can only lean 1-2" before stopping so no worry about damage due to tipping.

He can... but I did find it tricky to find the sweet spot as he would tend to lean forward or back a smidge and then topple. I think if I can tighten the fit of his boots on the ankle peg it will solve the issue.
