Is it just me, or does the prototype black and white headsculpt look better than this one?
Is it just the angle and lighting? Because that first one is spot on, but now it looks a bit off?

Never had a PF - but this is seriously getting consideration as my first. It's gorgeous and the definition of iconic.

Couldn't have said it better. I'm in the same boat. I don't know how I'll convince my wife we need this one, but I don't think I can resist. I *almost* picked up the Anakin PF awhile back, but it was fairly easy to talk myself out of it. Luke, however...? THE most iconic and nostalgic (to me) version of Luke, to boot? I think I may be looking at my first (and hopefully only) PF figure. Of course, if they make a ROTJ Vader to go with this, then I'm screwed. :emperor

No, the prototype does look better...so far. As of right now I'm pre-ordering this piece. Unless the pics next week don't impress me, I doubt that. If there is an exclusive I hope it's either his tunic or cloak, I can't imagine it would be anything else. Maybe Vader's hand.

If the tunic is the exclusive and its more expensive then I'll most likely pass and get a regular. I just don't see myself ever displaying him with his Jabba outfit in the Death Star.

Since this pose doesn't match any one specific scene they could easily make a Vader with raised saber to pose across from Luke...and a 1/4 Emperor on throne to display in between. :emperor

i know everybody is excited about a possible 1/4 Emperor on throne and RotJ Vader until its made im going to display Luke with my Slave Leia PF...not screen accurate with the glove but would still be a cool display i think

Based on the above pic it doesn't look like it has a light-up feature; you can see the peg and the plastic blade connection.

Might be your first, but it certainly won't be your last. Its an addiction that can only be relieved by purchasing more PFs.

As far as his saber hilt, I know some of the folks who know the various hilts used in the movie don't like the one that's used on the 1/6 or this PF for accurracy, but I do, I never knew of the other version and I've spent my whole life enjoying this look as Luke's ROTJ saber.

Someone could always paint it to look like the V2 stunt saber. I prefer the look of this one as well.

I don't pay attention because I don't like it, but I believe the other hilt also has structural differences, not just paint, but a simple repaint could have it closer.

I just can't wait to see the whole piece from head to base.
